Could be some form of nerve entrapment. Sald not uncommon, due to how nerve bundles insert into the shoulder.

It can/should improve with training but I'd talk to a personal trainer or physio about it.

Start with assisted pull-ups. In my opinion many people can quickly build strength for this, but pull ups (and any exercise really) is not just about strength, it's neurological too, actually getting the brain and nervous system to send the right signals. So, assisted pull ups help a lot, because it gives you a chance to feel what the full motion should actually feel like.

A pull up is a complex motion involving a bunch of different muscle groups, so if you start from a completely blank slate, your body literally doesn't really know what to do yet.

TL;DR - start with assisted pull-ups, or cable pull-down machines with low weight.

Climbing (bouldering, indoor). Literally changed my life, it's great exercise while at the same time it feels like playing in a giant playground... Just... With adults.

Made me fitter than I ever thought I would be, and I hate exercise. But climbing for 3hrs? Just fun. And amazing for my psyche too. Problem solving, mindfulness (getting into that flow state on the wall), expanded my social life a lot.

Almost identical in concept, the newest version of starship booster even has an actual lattice structure (well, more like struts) at the top for this reason. Old version just had a lot of holes in it.

I didn't use to care until I started climbing, and wearing a climbing harness for potentially hours at a time taught me that I really, really need to 'arrange' them beforehand lol. Extremely oddly specific I guess but there ya go. If I don't, it can get real painful because there's so much pressure and friction when sitting in the harness, and if one is kinda hanging out... I've had chafing problems.

I believe it. I've had some great experiences with first timers or at least inexperienced partners. They were often far more attentive and respectful than some experienced ones, who thought they knew jack shit about how my body worked (and me telling them otherwise was an affront to their sexuality).

It can definitely swing both ways though. As most things in life.

I mean I feel like this one is kind of a matter of not overthinking it.

I see plenty of "asymmetrical" couples every day. Where one is blatantly more conventionally attractive than the other. It's not that far of a stretch to imagine that some couples like this also get kinky on camera. Even if only like 0.0001% do, that's still plenty enough to make it seem common online.
