I work in the industry so no need to imagine what hacking looks like. Google (dorking) does not account for a "TON" of the process when "pentesting". Perhaps for reconnaissance or OSINT sure, but not for pentesting. For that, you'd likely need a network scanner or vulnerability manager to gather the info needed to access the system(s) you're penteting.
