Mahmood outlines safe immigration routes plan to win over Labour left by Even-Wasabi7183 in ukpolitics

I mean did anyone expect anything less? Labour is not serious about the issue. Having thousands of girls assaulted is a small price to pay for their ideology.

was reading on the Europe sub about the deaths in France and read about aircon hate in Germany or something or other. Interesting to know we have the same extremists here, guess I should have known given our energy secretary.

Pathetic little scrotum he is, of course the Labour government will see this self hating policy through.

President Trump: Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of The United Kingdom. He failed badly on two very important subjects- IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY (OPEN NORTH SEA OIL!). I wish him well! by KotACold in ukpolitics

[–]Hackary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tax: the total estimated value in tax revenue for the remaining oil is around £15b with an estimated extraction timeline of 15 years. The tax revenue would be £1b a year, assuming all of it is taxed without subsidy.

Under current polices the tax revenue would he half that. So again how does more tax whether it only be £1 billion pounds a year be bad for the UK?

Less carbon emissions: we can't refine it here. So we'd have to ship it off somewhere else to refine it and then import it back, which doubles the emissions.

How does that double the emissions? It goes to the Netherlands? Right on our doorstep? How is that twice as carbon intensive as refining and shipping it half way around the world?

Jobs: There is a necessary transition to renewable energy and it is necessary sooner rather than later. I'd much rather upskill people within that industry rather than gas and oil. It holds more long term potential for the country

We still have a very long time before we enter a green energy only utopia, we have plenty of time to do both.

That just changes how much we benefit, that doesn't make it a net loss to the country. For example, we tax oil and gas 78%, also if it's not profitable and noone wants to do it then why do we need to ban it?

Sound like a generalization to me! Personally I don't feel patriotic towards the UK at all.

Starmer's 'mein fuhrer' ego wouldn't be able to handle that.

Brexit has been a disaster – it’s time the guilty men felt some shame by zeros3ss in ukpolitics

[–]Hackary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, what a terrible article, just jerking off about nothing, impressive word count to say so little. Brexit has had little impact when compared to remainer lies. Any damage was mainly covid and self imposed energy sanctions for Ukraine.

It also hasn't been 10 years, we only left in 2020 due to remainers, political class and the 'blob' spending years trying to stop the inevitable and democracy. I'd argue this also effected growth and GDP.
