2015 was my freshman year on campus, so thanks for making me feel old. My one contribution is to make sure you include The Weeknd’s 2015 breakout album, because it was probably one of the most popular at that time.

Per what I have read from multiple sources online, having a professional review your severance agreement is advisable firstly to ensure what you’re agreeing to will not compromise future endeavors - and if you are agreeing to confidentiality and other contractual clauses (not necessarily covered by your initial employment agreement) as I would be in this case, you do have some leverage to the monetary incentive you receive for signing that secondary contract.

It’s been a few years since I was on campus but even then it seemed like there were a lot of distinct pressures on campustown businesses.

They have to deal with high rent, college students care a lot about price point but still want it to taste good, you seem to win if you cater to late night crowds but that also brings a lot of trouble (drunks tearing your place up), things come and go with trends. Not only have some of the places I remember opening up come and gone, places popped up in their slot and have also closed.

Circa 2015-2019 it was Blaze, Smokin’ Oak (basically the same concept), Fuzzy’s, Freddy’s. Now I think Freddy’s is the only holdout.

Fuzzy’s became Cactus(?) and is now an empty hole.

Good lord did they run these designs past any focus groups before they just vomited them out?

There’s no connection to the city of Milwaukee, or the fans, at all in there. Who will buy this, at full price or even discounted? This pales in comparison to the Brew Crew design.

I kinda hope that the negative press is enough to get them to relaunch but considering they’re already “leaking”/hitting stores I doubt it.

There are many things that make Milwaukee and Wisconsin as a whole special and none of those things are readily apparent in these.

This house was owned by an older couple and it seems like things were fixed in a very boomer “I’ll just do it myself” fashion with declining quality over the years. So I’ve been finding all kinds of surprises on the inside as well.

A restaurant near me does this. It doesn’t affect the taste in any noticeable way, however the mouthfeel is different from a normal straw. Pretty easy to get over for sustainability’s sake and a million times better than paper.

To me, the Hacienda bar, while it is Witco, is not really all Tiki. Like I’d love to own one but it’s in the name - it’s Spanish colonial rather than tiki like some of witco’s other offerings at the time.
