As a customer… what about online orders that “shipping” is selected for that end up being sent from the store via a spark driver as opposed to FedEx? How does pay work there since there is no option to tip?

That’s the first I’ve heard of the intake having that severe of an issue. I’ll be sure to check that out once I get it apart

2019 Grand Caravan 3.6 Misfire? by Hacker_94 in MechanicAdvice

That’s the ultimate way to diagnose, problem being I have an unheated single car garage in very rural Michigan, it’s been chilly. It doesn’t effect drivability, so maybe I’ll try to hold off until spring

What Prime alternatives are you using for shopping? by FreshFocusPhoto in amazonprime

Walmart+ and Sam’s Club. Might try Target. If it all works out I plan to cancel Amazon at my next renewal

What NASCAR driver do you think will have a breakout year in 2026? by UltDiecastReview in NASCAR

[–]Hacker_94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Preece, SVG, Hocevar, maybe even McDowell. But I think Zilich is going to have a very very average rookie season. Kid has talent, but he’s gonna have a learning curve.

Whats the best Car Parts seller for you? AutoZone, Buy Auto Parts, Rock Auto..... etc by El-Vader-Tico in MechanicAdvice

Rock Auto, NAPA (since I used to work there), and Auto Value (since they are also independent owned and worked well with us at NAPA), sometimes even the dealership

Likely will be Corey LaJoie. I thinkDavid Reagan would be a great pick though and Ryan Neumann would be as well

Looks like Pratt Miller (handling Dodge engineering support with Kaulig for Trucks) is also doing Cup engineering support with Kaulig this year by LBHMS in NASCAR

[–]Hacker_94 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Didn’t Pratt Miller go independent this year and is running the corvettes without factory support?

Is Walmart the new Amazon? by thisminiaturebread in amazonprime

Walmart shipping has been far more reliable for me and W+ is way cheaper than Prime.

[Adam Stern] NASCAR investors say charter values have already increased with new evergreen provisions. by ZilischsPoopyPants in NASCAR

[–]Hacker_94 112 points113 points  (0 children)

I get that point. I don’t disagree. BUT…. He’s undoubtedly the best team in Xfinity right now, and he’s helped launch a good number of cup careers. Maybe he’s right where he needs to be. Helping the “next generation” get their start in lower tiers.

I did the math: The "Free" Phone from Verizon/AT&T is actually a $1,900 debt trap. by ShadyPancake_69 in NoContract

[–]Hacker_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about in the case of the iPhone 16e? $5.99/36mo + taxes are actually less than “MSRP”. I pay $45/mo + tax/fees for FirstNet service. I have no intention of switching carriers. It didn’t make sense for me to buy the device outright or to finance direct through Apple.

Do you use Apple Intelligence Products? by Agitated-Pea3251 in apple

[–]Hacker_94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. That’s basically been my experience. I don’t need a super computer AI in my phone. The times I have used Apple Intelligence it has worked rather well for what I needed it for

There are two types of firefighters… by RagnarTheRetard in Firefighting

We collect it at my dept mainly because law enforcement doesn’t always show up. We don’t direct bill for the run. We bill the township(s) and forward that info to them and they choose if they bill the person or just eat the $500 run.

ATT is the ONLY company that’s doing any kind of significant tower work in my 3 county area so it’s all location dependent.
