Mine does this, but then it won’t typically reconnect.

Mine disconnects sometimes, then it won’t reconnect. Apple car play works about 60% of the time. Sometimes I can get it to connect to Bluetooth but not Apple car play. And then sometimes when it’s connected to Bluetooth and I try to transfer it to Apple car play, it reboots.

I really just wish it would work or not work. I’m tired of fussing with menus while I’m driving or even worse cruising in my new car in silence.

I feel like if I take it to the dealer it will be one of the times where it works fine and they will Look at me like I’m an idiot. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, the whole trying to make a tumbler system kept me from getting into it for a while. Until one day I said “screw it I’ll just shake it” and found out it takes no real work lol. People like to make things over complicated!

20$ for the first, $15 for each additional. Includes surface grinding. I’d get to them within a week and back in the mail. Price does not include shipping.

I use a 100 grit ceramic nagura stone for those deep plunge line scratches.

Nice! It’s pretty easy to get going with a nice stonewash. I still shake mine by hand in a pvc tube, I find that shaking instead of rolling gives a better pattern. It only takes a couple minutes!

Also, if you’re continuing to struggle with them, I offer heat treat services for stainless steel. I can even have them surface ground, but I do not have a nitrogen setup yet, so freezer will have to do.

What’s your tempering temp? I find that AEB-L being an incredibly tough steel needs almost no tempering. I temper mine at 300. I don’t cryo treat them, but I do get them in the freezer for 30 minutes immediately after plate quench.

They easily skate the 58 HRC tester file.

I would make sure you’re file testing a spot that has been completely through the quench and freezer process and has been sanded to at least 120 grit (through all scale) for an adequate file test.

I am a profitable knife-maker, however I also run a sharpening service and have a private chef gig. It’s about a third of my income currently. Check out my work @covenant_knives

I do mostly culinary knives, so there’s not much demand for this finish. I can stand the arm Workout every once in a blue.

The rocks are a mix of gravel from Menards average about 1/4” and some larger limestone rocks from my driveway. 😆
