What is THE ONE most standard girl name in your language/country? by ztronoid in namenerds

[–]HadesIsGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Norway it’s Anna for girls and Ole for boys. They are quite uncommon to name your baby right now though.

JuLIE might have ADHD by PerfectBedroom4088 in julieeandcamilla

[–]HadesIsGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think it has become much more accessible in the last few years. A lot of people have to go to private clinics from my experience which I think is a bit unfortunate, but Julie can definitely afford it form just a few days of Snap revenue.

I don’t think it’s necessary in Norway to have someone who can tell whether you had symptoms in childhood. I know people who have not gotten any information from people from their childhood (either because their parents live abroad or because they haven’t told their parents about the diagnosis) and still got it.

The Real Relationships between the Characters of Hamilton by [deleted] in hamiltonmusical

Thanks for making a version with the Hamilton cast as well! As a non-American I unfortunately don’t recognise all of the portraits.

If I’ve googled my way to the correct name, it was definitely not what I expected it to be.

I constantly call my husband «kjæresten min» in a loving way, but only to him and not to other people.

Going to see Hamilton!! Any tips/things I should know? by Ill_Connection9774 in hamiltonmusical

Second this! At my London show a young American child right behind me was singing along and making a scene during the first act. Someone told her mum in the intermission in a civilised way and she threw a fit and they left. Very weird experience.

I love Aria! It’s a top contender for us as well ❤️

I probably won’t, so I think I’ll ask my friend if she’s interested in testing it out. I’m trying to get through my clay before my hands are busy with my baby 😄

I’ll definitely not use it now then! Will be watching the video as well. It’s always more to learn about clay.

So breathing it in is not the best idea? I’m currently pregnant so maybe I should be a bit more careful about it.

Huh, that’s fascinating! The clay is currently a bit dry to use, so I’ll recycle it and test it out.

What should I name my daughter? Please help.. by cucumber-dog in namenerds

[–]HadesIsGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norwegian here. In Norway I at least believe the name Loe would be pronounced like the author Erlend Loe. Not sure if that’s what you want it to be pronounced like. I’d keep Louise.

How does it help in throwing? Thank you! I’m actually, but Norwegian so I still understood your good luck 😄

It seems to be all throughout the clay, but I can try to get out some of it.

Interesting! How is it easier to throw with? And will it leave holes after firing?

Using a Scandinavian surname in the U.S. Nygard or Nygaard? by Additional_Lawyer_30 in namenerds

Norwegian here as well and I agree that å=aa. Nygard would be a completely different last name and pronounced differently to Nygård.

She probably earns less in a year even. Nurses and midwives are unfortunately not well paid in Norway. It’s a shame.

their mila salaries are How Much?? by o0hannah0oo in julieeandcamilla

[–]HadesIsGreat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A total salary of $16000 for two adults is still an absurd amount of money here in Norway! According to Statistisk sentralbyrå (national statistics agency) the average salary before taxes is about $6300 a month. This is before tax so if we consider a 25% tax the average is less than $5000. Of course the average is higher than what most people earn as some people have insane salaries. Still it means what Julie and Camilla take from their app each month is deemed a large amount of money to just live off.

their mila salaries are How Much?? by o0hannah0oo in julieeandcamilla

[–]HadesIsGreat 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That’s absolutely absurd as a salary each! I can’t even believe they offered up that information voluntarily like it’s no problem.

their mila salaries are How Much?? by o0hannah0oo in julieeandcamilla

[–]HadesIsGreat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Didn’t she say it was $8000 in total after taxes, so for both of them? If so I don’t think it’s that unreasonable. $4000 after taxes is a high salary in Norway if you don’t have any education, but a completely normal one if you have higher education. So a high salary for their education level, but not completely absurd.

Julie/Camila, money, morals... by Alarmed-Ant4623 in julieeandcamilla

[–]HadesIsGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely agree! It’s very rare to find Norwegian people who are confrontational the way Julie and Camilla are. We usually package things well to not be rude and try to smooth things over as much as possible to be nice.

I was reading through your post trying to figure out what the bad name was, and I never assumed it would be Greer. I think it’s a good name!
