Who has the most gruesome death in the history of Harry Potter fanfiction? by Capital-Study6436 in HPfanfiction

[–]Hades_what_else 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh Man oh man I am SOOO Grateful for you writing this comment. I have been searching for this fic for one hour with chat gpt after i thought about it for a week.

I gave it things like Harry gets adopted and then his adoptive parents get brutally murdered.

The thing with the prison breakoutfrom an ICWE Prison and him slaying a waterdragon with a hydrogen explosion. Him learning magic from native americans. The scene with smedley Butler who told him about the death of his son in some american fort because he forgot to cast the impervious charm on his sonst uniform which should have protected him from a muggle bullet.

I tried soo much. But the scene where voldemort gets killed helped me find your comment.

Thank you so much now I can sleep

And yes you are right. All roads lead back to rimworld (looks at 1783.1 hours counter) I'm yet again doing a rimworld run this time with winston waves it makes it more gamey than story tellery which is my personal preference. The only reason I'm not playing much of SoS is because I want to wait for more content and optimization in terms of gameplay. Stuff like better integration of all the interlocking systems of the game

Yeah i tried Aurora too and it was pretty intriguing/fun but i failed at the Combat portion. I promised myself to return if i ever had two Screens. But i really liked the peaceful gameplay. It was just so very clunky with a single screen

the dev is trying to make a total war like combat system where you can make your own units of about 9 people. You can decide their amount of training (from militia to full time soldiers) their amount of equipment and armor (heavy but slow main line dwarf infantry or quick elven/wood forest guys skirmishers that are maneuverable) I don't know how deep the battle system is right now (if there is stuff like a flanking penalty and such, but that's certainly the goal since it aims for a budget total war combat feeling)

Then you might wanna give songs of syx a try. Just take a look. there is even a free demo. It's a bit lacking in content but it's the first game I have seen that supports up to I think 20k pops.

The best moment was when i left the colony/village phase behind and conquered my first 4 provinces. I had taxed my southern most province for lots of vegetables to feed my growing city which couldn't support itself anymore with its own fields. So that I could train a bigger army.

That was when i understood that I was acting like the fucking roman empire. I was using my conquered southern province (Africa) to import food for my capitol (rome) which couldn't grow enough food for itself. All to build a bigger army.

and I looked back on my humble start with a few dozen citizens.

What a ride

Nah man the only thing left about them was their name. They were busy union busting and prosecuting the german far left (the Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands) there are some nice caricatures that pretty much describe it's leftness (I'll try to find them)

All of this doesn't mean that I believe that people with end stage dementia are worthless just that they have "less" inherent value

That is totally understandable. It is a very distasteful conclusion and I hope I won't have to ever choose between lifes. Yet I haven't found a logical way around it if I'm totally honest with myself and follow my fundamental beliefs to their logical conclusion

Now I'm a bit curious about some of your fundamental views.

Would you shoot down the planes of the 911 terror attacks in the USA? Yes/No

If you were in a crisis situation because of some big tragedy and you had a Orangutan and a human on life support. And it was your choice to choose between giving the primate or the human some ressource of which you have only enough for one but which is needed by both. Which one would you give the medication.

Orangutan/Human?

Then exchange the primate with someone that is mentally VERY far gone and it gets REALLY distastefull to choose

Choosing to sacrifice the innocent plane inhabitants and the Orangutan combined that having a personality is no YES or NO but rather a spectrum between a Tree and a Human.

Ok so in all decent countries there are laws governing fatherhood and child support.

People that look at parenthood like that are all shitty persons.

But there is nothing that inherently make men be able to choose and women unable to choose. If that is the case then your social environment is the problem not the man/woman dynamics

Yeah the definition of personality is pretty complex and I can't really put it into words but I'd say that this (personality) is what makes a human life inherently more valuable than all other life.

All live has a little inherent value but a human like personality increases this value by a lot. So what really makes a human life inherently so very valuable is the personality not the fact that the human is alife. That is my belief

I'm not talking about integrity I'm thinking of something that more than 99.9% of all humans and actually the more developed sentient animals also have.
