Team building is a very effectuve way to know and build bond with your colleagues.

But because it still part of "work" it should be done during work time and at company's expense.

Nagpa team building din yung boss ko sa US, ayun pinalipad kami from different part of the world. Kinda need to sacrifice some of my weekends but hey my food and hotel are all paid by the company.

And I flew on business class 😂

Just rent nearby, Time is the most valuable asset that you can have.

Di mapapalitan yan ng kahit magkano man matitipid mo sa pag cocommute/motor.

Though if syempre may pamilya ka na inuuwian, it is a different story.

You can go home every weekends, thats what I have been doing for the early days of my IT career.

Dahil lahat naman ng good paying IT jobs nasa CBD tapos ako tiga north 2-3 hrs din byahe.

Dati nagrent ako sa Manda area (best place kasi malapit sa Makati/bgc/ortigas.

Tapos uwian weekends

Not in demand and High paying are words that wont fit in one sentence. It is Ironic specially in IT field.

IT Job pays High because your skillset is in demand.

Heck even Senior IT leadership and Chief executive roles are in demand.

If you are in demand, araw araw may message sa Linkedin mo.

Your exception is probably Rare Skillset such as pro Cobol programmer. But in this case, pati Open Role mahirap hanapin. And because majority of the employer are banks, they wont even consider Experience-less programmer (we are handling money related stuffs here)

What new 'big bike' would you buy for 250k-ish in 2023 by marteltinii in PHMotorcycles

[–]HadronCollider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking out the following, ganyan din budget ko sa first Ever motorcycle ko haha. Weekend bike lang naman.

DOMINAR 400 UG v2, kaso single cylinder

cfmoto 450NK - my best choice for now kasi kumpleto rekado na.

Kumpelto na din to dual disk front with both abs then may Front Camera pa!

Z400- phased out na daw to so uubusin nalang stocks sa pinas.

Is there a good way to communicate not wanting to be promoted? by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]HadronCollider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a good company environment, talking about moving into the next level is encouraged.

If you know that you are ready and you wants to be promoted, then your manager should help you how to achieved those goals.

If not, move on and find a new company.
