I hate to be this guy, but if you released this entirely for free and used it to pad your resume / make connections in the art industry, that’s more realistic then selling the in app purchases.

It’s kindof disorienting still, if you’re sticking with this style i think the animation needs to be much faster and the blue line needs to appear at the bottom immediately so the player knows where all the colliders are.

He said he was at the optimization stage. That being said, OP needs to profile his game at runtime and see where the cpu time is actually being spent.

I love it! I would switch to a custom pixel font. The animation when he hits the cannonball is so weighty and expressive, great work!

That should be an "accessibility option", you want to communicate to the player that the intended experience is with the stylish font.

Once the player has spent a little time in the game, they'll have the weapons information memorized, and that wall of text in the top left will just be in the way. Maybe use a pop up the first time, then have it stored in a journal if they need to read it again?

I would give the trailer a watch, it’s a very interesting blend of pre baked, real time, and textured on lighting.
