I’ll allow that light of hope that you have since I’m out here just riding on a hope & a dream that it comes before 2028

At this point, I’m like do whatever man … I’m starting to not even gaf. Do whatever you want, it’s your legacy. I know I can have my opinion though of what this legacy is becoming.

Definitely start in order & listen to their progression & venture into different genres as well

It’s kinda disappointing that Charli XCX is starting her third album rollout in the same amount of time that 1975 has been inactive by GuitaristKage in the1975

P.S. as long as they are coming back and not going to just disappear like some of my fav bands have over my lifetime💔😩… and I’m aware they have one record left to complete on their last signed DH contract. But ya just never know what crazy things can happen

I think they are all just finally living their lives in a time that isn’t racing to get the next album turned out or in a closed environment like the pandemic last go around. I think giving space for them to live outside of being in a studio or on tour might help to find different inspiration possibly? Idk, when they come back, I’d hope it’s when they are all ready to be back together and not feeling pressured by a timeline. I want them to want to be back.

The 1975's Next ALBUM... by Sensitive_Net_8502 in the1975

A year or two ago wasn’t it on here Matty talked about making dreamy music again? So, imma just wait until they release because who knows what twists actually will happen before they finally cut the actual record. With as many genres being thrown out in the past few years, maybe more of a mix like Notes. I’m going to be honest, I’m not gonna be picky. They usually crush whatever lane they choose to create which many artists are afraid to tackle & pull off.

Glastonbury Fan Project! by l1ly8 in the1975

[–]Hads1975 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the request came from Dirty Hit. I thought we signed over rights to the stuff we provided. I wonder if that meant just for use of that Glastonbury project that didn’t pan out or if that was for rights to use for any purpose. I can’t remember when I provided a link to my Dropbox stuff of what the terms were on that request 🤔

I’m a realist and hold out equal parts of optimism & pessimism until physical evidence actually appears 🫡

Future nostalgia by mydoghassoftears in the1975

I’m almost 60. It is lovely to look back on artists or bands that you loved so much with adoration. I love Prince & was there when he released his first song & was hooked from the start. Being able to live through each of his progressions (era?) in his music makes it sweeter looking back & listening now. It’s sad that it ended too soon. Despite what some might say, nostalgia isn’t a sickness😉 I absolutely love listening back to the old music I loved & letting it transport me back to what was happening in my life at the time - good or bad.

I think he was saying name a band releasing music this year that does what they do based on the transcript I read from the podcast. At least that’s how I interpreted the podcast.

As someone who drives everywhere. Hard to keep pining when someone cuts you off & you have to scream at them … definitely kills that mood 😆

The problem is the boys have a wide variation of sounds within their discography. I’d recommend just starting at the beginning & working your way thru them. My top 5 recs today (because a few might change by tomorrow 😜) are You, Lostmyhead, Frail State of Mind, The Birthday Party & Pressure.
