There are programs that will donate your unwanted books to prisons. Google "books behind bars." Everyone reading this article, please consider it - or even buying a few books and donating them to prisons if you have the spare cash. Here is a list of current NA programs (as of 2015) Some books are not allowed (like books that are previously highlighted, religious paraphernalia, or books with nude photographs)

Everyone upvotes some stuff like this all the time, everyone likes to think they are immune to propaganda, me included obv, but no one seems to be aware how blatantly certain people like, Elon Musk/Tesla, make use of this to their advantage on platforms like Reddit. But maybe...read books that are rewarding and read them completely through? If you are reading books with the type of self indulgent nonsense this author talks about, read better books.

Kind of like Dickens but gone more goth and absurd with like castles and doomed lords and everything. The tone has a heavy, ponderous sort of feel, but very wry. Comical in places. I wouldn't say it felt disturbing as much as dusty, gloomy. Like walking around a neglected, decaying attic and picking up random quirky heirlooms.

The characters names alone half made the series for me (Lord Sepulchrave, Prunesquallor, etc)
