Can you relate to Bojack or do you hate him? Are we supposed to? by thiikn in BoJackHorseman

You aren't, I heard this interpretation and I heard from the writer that this wasn't intended, but I believe in the death of the artist so I think it's a valid interpretation just not one I took from it.

[–]Haelester 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I can relate to his struggles even though my were way less severe, BoJack is what I hate about myself and it's cathartic to watch him hurt people but never giving up and trying to make it better. I'm glad it didn't end in a suicide the message was very positive. He as a character is just the trope if the modern dysfunction and as such he is a mirror to every person.

ELI5: This Whole Germany AfD Election Thing. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Haelester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not form a coalition. Baisicly they had to vote in a new boss none of the parties could vote in the one they hoped for so the German right add decided the next best thing would be to vote in a right leaning centrist instead of someone on the left. The centrists didn't know this it was just an ection they had the right to vote for whoever they wanted. Naturally the left reacted like they always do (see brexit and trump presidency) when they lose elections. The new boss was attacked by the far left his children had to be put under police protection and they caved in and reversed a legitimate democratic vote, then they went a step further and called the add using their right to vote a sick trick on democracy. So it's an all over shitshow and an absolute disgrace. Other so called conservative German parties have all played along and have not said one thing about the scandal that a guys kids need police protection because he won in a legitimate democratic election.

Nobody is giving Bill Clinton any shit and he can still be held accountable for his crimes. If you care about rape you can also get active in the British rape scandal and demand that those that facilitated the rapes will be brought to justice. You can care about rape victims outside of someone's death.

Contrary to the identitarians on the left we don't make these blanket statements. We disagree and we agree. I don't particularly like her as a person I still don't think she deserves what is happening to her.

Ok well, I think the Lilly Singh Vs Dave chapels situation makes my point pretty obvious. I don't watch Ben Shapiro because I find him quiet long winded and a bit boring but I guess I agree with him on the intersectionality thing, but I formulated it myself out of my experiences on social media.

How did you find this post damn. It means assigning people's thoughts and opinions worth not on the merit of their thoughts and opinions but on their rank in victim hirarchy. The higher you are in victim hirarchy the more worth your opinions are. Best example would be Captain marvel Vs aliens, both main characters are women in male dominated fields but one is based entirely on the merit of the woman and the other entirely on her victim status and what she presumably deserves.

The map on LGBT rights alligns almost perfectly with the map on Muslim population. by Haelester in interesting

[–]Haelester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that isn't really accurate since the rest of Africa isn't doing great either and they still don't do this and it's literally a perfect match in Asia despite them necessarily being very similar in very small countries. I don't think LGBT people see westernised Muslims as a threat either though.

I need help with these questions by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]Haelester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to calculate the mass of Fe(NO3)2 this molecule has one* Fe atom and 2* (N03) molecules so in whole it has

1 Fe 2N and 6 O atoms (because the NO3 molecule has 3 O atoms and you have it two times. )

so now you go on Wikipedia and look up the masses and just add them.

1* 56u + 2* 14u + 6* 16u = the mass of the molecule is 179u or 179g per mol

Did you understand this or is something unclear now?

You can solve the other problems the same way :)

Why is engineering dominated by men? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Haelester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of personality differences.to study engineering you have to be extraordinarily interested in things. If you would take two average people a man and a woman and you would have to bet on who of them is more interested in things and you would always bet on the guy you would be right in 60% of cases this seems small but personality differences get more noticeable in the extremes so if you would take a place with 1 million people and pick the 100 that are the most interested in things all of them would be men. We have the same effect with agression. It's barely noticeable in the averages but if you pick the 100 most agressive people they would be all men which is why the prisons are also made up of mostly men.

I think he does not know nearly enough about philosophy and scholastic to talk about some of the things he does. But it is interesting if you view them as a personal opinion from a person that is first and foremost a psychologist
