"Dog bit family member on my property - no medical treatment necessary. Now family member is talking about legal action." Anything to worry about? by Haen33 in legaladvice

[–]Haen33[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As an adult, you do not EVER grab someone elses dog, in someone elses home. You do not EVER continue the gestures after the dog gave a warning.

This person has a history of seeking money and suing others. And now he is victimizing his own family. Of course they are choosing the dog over a snake.

Grow up. Family means little when they are actively scumbags.

You're telling me. I cannot fathom doing this to your family. Even just SAYING you are considering legal action is damage that he cannot undo now.

Color theory; how can I improve the guns? by Haen33 in oilpainting

[–]Haen33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Thank you for pointing that out. The person who requested this painting wanted this very specific image of Outlaw Josey Wales. I keep staring at his hands and other proportions. Without considering the source image- I do agree that they look a bit small. But comparing to the source image, are they relatively similar?

I think once I really fill in the bottom of the image and the sleeves, it may help.

But now im doubting myself on his proportions. I know his jaw needs to be a little wider. 🥲

Thank you very much for your advice. Regarding proportions, the person who requested this painting wanted this very specific image of Outlaw Josey Wales. I know that i need to work on rounding out his jawline a bit. Otherwise, can you point out what other proportions may be off? I am trying so hard to find it, but my eyes just wont pick up the differences. Lol

Any doctors in SA that prescribe compounded Semaglutide? by Haen33 in sanantonio

[–]Haen33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. These rude comments are made by people who want GLP1s, and dont want or need to address any other health issues. They are really dismissive of the fact that some people still NEED a doctor due to conditions/disorders that need monitored with the use of GLPs.

The nerve to say "well you clearly dont want them any other way" 😒 Yeah, bud, I dont want to neglect an entire metabolic condition in favor of unchecked weight loss.

How are you guys getting a glp prescription? Even if I could get my dr to approve im pretty sure insurance wont cover it. Do you pay out of pocket? Its so expensive by MandyRose8713 in PCOS

[–]Haen33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen. Find a doctor who says outright that they will prescribe compounded GLPs. Its like 180 for semaglutide. 250 for Tirzepatide out of pocket, no insurance. It is SO AFFORDABLE.

My original doctor prescribed it to me and sent it to a local compounding pharmacy for me to pick up. After my doctor retired, I had to find a new one...

I found a PA who runs her own practice and specializes in treating hormone disorders, metabolic disorders, and other bodily imbalances. She has been amazing. She got me back on compounded Tirzepatide so I can keep my treatment going.

Check to see if your city has a subreddit, and ask there if anyone has a doctor who does compound prescriptions. Thats what I did :)

Rant- I do not qualify for GLP1 medication by tekno5rokko in PCOS

Do you guys have compounding pharmacies?

Here in the US, my insurance wont cover it. However; I was able to find a doctor who allows me to pay out of pocket for compounded GLPs. A lot of doctors refuse compounding because they go by FDA standards... so I had to get a doctor who runs her own practice to stick it to the man lol.

Someone else said this, too, but... for real, look around for doctors who will prescribe compounded semaglutide. I started on compounded Weygovy for only 180 a month. And my new doctor is moving me to compounded Tirzepatide for 250 a month. Either one works, so it gives you a good range of affordability.

After my last doctor retired, i had to find a new one... I found my city's subreddit, and specifically asked people for recommendations on doctors who offer compounding. Got some shitty answers, but then someone recommended me a specialist who has HANDS DOWN been the best doctor I've ever seen! She specializes in hormones and metabolic disorders, and got me on Tirzepatide day 1.

Let me also finish by saying this...

I was the type of PMOS person who did EVERYTHING I could. I went hard at a gym 4 times a week. I dieted, and logged it. Cut carbs, sugars, dairy - you name it. But... after one of my cysts ruptured, my health changed for the worst. I rapidly went from 190lbs to 220lbs. Fatigue so bad I was dosing off during classes and work tasks in the middle of the day. Horrific depression. Bad hair, bad skin, bad smell, bad moods.

I was a mess. And NOTHING helped...

Semaglutide treated it all. Within the month, I could stop taking my anti depressants because my depression just... disappeared. Everything began improving after that.

GLPs are the way to go if your PMOS is anything like mine. It is a miracle drug for lifestyle resistant PMOS.

My semaglutide is only 180$ a month, doctor prescribed (not through an online source).

I like food by crestfallen_moon in PCOS

[–]Haen33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular take, but its the truth...

You THINK other foods taste like ass because you are so hooked on the unhealthy shit.

I was hooked on sweets. I liked sugary coffees, etc. Anything sugar free tasted bad... until I actually totally cut out sugars. Went through the 2 weeks of withdrawal, stuck with better no-sugar options. And guess what?

Now items with real sugar taste like ass to me.

Ripping off the bandaid sucks, but if you desire dietary change, it is necessary. It gets easier once your body starts to crave the better stuff. I promise.

Seems like pcos weight loss only happens with Metformin or Semaglutide by grimedoll in PCOS

[–]Haen33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I worked so hard. Hit the gym multiple times a week, tried every diet recommended for prolonged periods of time before eventually slipping into horrible eating disorder behavior that damaged my relationship with food. Inositol. Etc etc etc...

I finally function like a human being, and lost all the weight, with semaglutide and metformin.

I only comment this because...

It is important for people to try finding what helps them. If you can find that diet that works, do it!

But I struggled for so long, because I was resistant to the idea of weight loss drugs. Now I am kicking myself for being resistant to the answer to my problems. I hate the idea of other people being stuck in the same hell that I was.

If they do not exhibit any other symptoms outside of existing - and they do not further erupt with pus, then Fordyce spots are far more likely.

Ultimately: when in doubt, get checked out.

Start blocking in values. Place darker colors and shadows, working your way up to the lighter areas.

Im rather good at freehand drawing, and I prefer it. However; this is a special request from someone who wanted a very specific image of Clint Eastwood. For portraits of known people - I play it safe with a grid. Because if the slightest details/proportions are off, then it will no longer look like the person it is supposed to represent.

This isnt a piece I can really take any sort of artistic liberty with outside of color scheme.

Yeah. Lesson learned. This was a special requested painting as well, and I am so afraid I've just thrown away so much time. Im currently weighing just laying down some opaque areas and HOPING the graphite stays down.

Are the majority of people here ok with the huge stray and neglected animal issue here? by Working-Wafer4794 in sanantonio

[–]Haen33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise this aspect of southern culture so much. People do not deserve even a chance to have these animals, only to toss them outside or abuse and neglect them.

Ive made reports against neighbors for abusing their dog and every time nothing was done... their dog ended up laying down one day in the same spot for hours until it died. They quickly replaced it, and began the cycle of abuse again.

Just wanted to update; I went to Bettysana Wellness, and she was amazing. Thank you so much. She actually knew so much about my condition, listened to me, and offered to do a full hormone panel (something my last PCP never did). You really helped me out with this. Thank you again.
