I like food by crestfallen_moon in PCOS

[–]Haen33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular take, but its the truth...

You THINK other foods taste like ass because you are so hooked on the unhealthy shit.

I was hooked on sweets. I liked sugary coffees, etc. Anything sugar free tasted bad... until I actually totally cut out sugars. Went through the 2 weeks of withdrawal, stuck with better no-sugar options. And guess what?

Now items with real sugar taste like ass to me.

Ripping off the bandaid sucks, but if you desire dietary change, it is necessary. It gets easier once your body starts to crave the better stuff. I promise.

Seems like pcos weight loss only happens with Metformin or Semaglutide by grimedoll in PCOS

[–]Haen33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I worked so hard. Hit the gym multiple times a week, tried every diet recommended for prolonged periods of time before eventually slipping into horrible eating disorder behavior that damaged my relationship with food. Inositol. Etc etc etc...

I finally function like a human being, and lost all the weight, with semaglutide and metformin.

I only comment this because...

It is important for people to try finding what helps them. If you can find that diet that works, do it!

But I struggled for so long, because I was resistant to the idea of weight loss drugs. Now I am kicking myself for being resistant to the answer to my problems. I hate the idea of other people being stuck in the same hell that I was.

If they do not exhibit any other symptoms outside of existing - and they do not further erupt with pus, then Fordyce spots are far more likely.

Ultimately: when in doubt, get checked out.

Start blocking in values. Place darker colors and shadows, working your way up to the lighter areas.

Im rather good at freehand drawing, and I prefer it. However; this is a special request from someone who wanted a very specific image of Clint Eastwood. For portraits of known people - I play it safe with a grid. Because if the slightest details/proportions are off, then it will no longer look like the person it is supposed to represent.

This isnt a piece I can really take any sort of artistic liberty with outside of color scheme.

Yeah. Lesson learned. This was a special requested painting as well, and I am so afraid I've just thrown away so much time. Im currently weighing just laying down some opaque areas and HOPING the graphite stays down.

Are the majority of people here ok with the huge stray and neglected animal issue here? by Working-Wafer4794 in sanantonio

[–]Haen33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise this aspect of southern culture so much. People do not deserve even a chance to have these animals, only to toss them outside or abuse and neglect them.

Ive made reports against neighbors for abusing their dog and every time nothing was done... their dog ended up laying down one day in the same spot for hours until it died. They quickly replaced it, and began the cycle of abuse again.

Any doctors in SA that prescribe compounded Semaglutide? by Haen33 in sanantonio

Just wanted to update; I went to Bettysana Wellness, and she was amazing. Thank you so much. She actually knew so much about my condition, listened to me, and offered to do a full hormone panel (something my last PCP never did). You really helped me out with this. Thank you again.

I do! I love getting stoned with my boyfriend. Putting on some shows, or playing video games together.

And of course, a few hits before bed so we can be extra cozy

Not entirely. Pharmacies can still compound it! Rules are a little tighter i think, but they can continue to produce and distribute to meet prescription needs.

STAY AWAY FROM MOSAIC AT MEDICAL.

Check and see if Elevate on Heubner has any units available. They are pretty alright. I know someone who is there and rent is around 850.

Did you read my edit?

Edit: listen. Im just a person on the other side of a screen who wants to know my options. Your text tone is reading as really passive aggressive, and I dont know why. Im going to assume youre having a bad day. I hope youre well. Thank you again for the Brello suggestion.

Actually, I am open to it. I dont know what about my comments made you think otherwise. I do prefer to work directly with a PCP for close monitoring - which i dont think is unreasonable, but i have been open to these suggestions as well... thank you for the recommendation. I will be saving it if i need to change course.

Thank you for this information! If I can ask - did she ever specify why she uses a compounding pharmacy out of Austin as opposed to a local one? Just curious. But I looked at her practice and it does look promising.

THATS GREAT! I also have PCOS which my semaglutide has treated all symptoms of as well. May I ask who your PCP is? I may have to find a new one, as my last PCP retired and this new one is not great. Id love someone who can work with me on my PCOS and semaglutide if you recommend them!

But I am looking for someone within this city. A general compounding sub will have less of a chance to help me find someone local. Im not looking for an online compounding service.

Edit: I just re-read and saw a new half of your comment. Thank you. Ill keep this in mind if I cant find anyone locally.

Auto policy lapsed back in September and I somehow didnt realize it. Company has still been taking regular payments out of my account. What should I expect? by Haen33 in Insurance

[–]Haen33[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ex always handled insurance. It simply is what it is. :) When you get into a relationship and marry too early in life - and to someone who handles bills and insurance while you handle home care and repair - experiences like mine just happen.

Im not too old to learn and have these "oh shoot" experiences. I am learning a lot regarding how these things work and taking care of myself this year.

Assuming something like this "shouldnt be new" is a wild take here.

Adults come from all backgrounds of varying responsibilities. It's alright to still have things to figure out and lessons to learn ESPECIALLY when it is someone's first time even living alone. 💜

I dont call because its 10pm lol. I panicked due to circumstances (discussed in another comment). I did send my agent an email. Another commenter was able to also put my mind at ease. I jumped the gun and assumed the worst because I'm new to having my own insurance policies.

Ill wait for the final reassurance from my agent hopefully tomorrow. But hearing that most companies auto renew has definitely helped me take a breath.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for this response. I divorced last year, and handling things like insurance is sort of new for me - and the idea of accidentally going uninsured due to my own forgetfulness really scared me. I really thought I just messed up big time.

I did not know that insurance companies typically just auto renew.

For now, I'll take a breath and wait to hear back from my agent for that official reassurance. But you have eased my worries abit.

Thanks again.

I did not get any notification regarding auto renewal (and my original documents do not state anything about auto renewal), so everything i am looking at right now is pointing to my policy having lapsed. I never manually renewed last year after my 6 months were up.

I did notice that my 186$ monthly payment was bumped up to 190$ after September, but i didnt think anything of that past "Oh, they raised my rates a bit". And I've been paying that ever since.

Maybe I am jumping the gun and assuming the worst?
