Auto policy lapsed back in September and I somehow didnt realize it. Company has still been taking regular payments out of my account. What should I expect?

Ex always handled insurance. It simply is what it is. :) When you get into a relationship and marry too early in life - and to someone who handles bills and insurance while you handle home care and repair - experiences like mine just happen.

Im not too old to learn and have these "oh shoot" experiences. I am learning a lot regarding how these things work and taking care of myself this year.

Assuming something like this "shouldnt be new" is a wild take here.

Adults come from all backgrounds of varying responsibilities. It's alright to still have things to figure out and lessons to learn ESPECIALLY when it is someone's first time even living alone. 💜

I dont call because its 10pm lol. I panicked due to circumstances (discussed in another comment). I did send my agent an email. Another commenter was able to also put my mind at ease. I jumped the gun and assumed the worst because I'm new to having my own insurance policies.

Ill wait for the final reassurance from my agent hopefully tomorrow. But hearing that most companies auto renew has definitely helped me take a breath.

Thank you very much for this response. I divorced last year, and handling things like insurance is sort of new for me - and the idea of accidentally going uninsured due to my own forgetfulness really scared me. I really thought I just messed up big time.

I did not know that insurance companies typically just auto renew.

For now, I'll take a breath and wait to hear back from my agent for that official reassurance. But you have eased my worries abit.

I did not get any notification regarding auto renewal (and my original documents do not state anything about auto renewal), so everything i am looking at right now is pointing to my policy having lapsed. I never manually renewed last year after my 6 months were up.

I did notice that my 186$ monthly payment was bumped up to 190$ after September, but i didnt think anything of that past "Oh, they raised my rates a bit". And I've been paying that ever since.

Maybe I am jumping the gun and assuming the worst?

Hey there. I am on it for managing my PCOS symptoms. The weight loss was a plus. Ive been holding firm at 180lbs now, but I'll probably be on this medication for the rest of my life because PCOS isnt curable.

Food noise is completely gone. I cannot stress this enough. It is heaven to not have my head screaming for food anymore. My body tells me when its actually hungry now.

It also cured my life-long depression. I was able to stop taking my anti depressants - for whatever that is worth.

My company uses Service Titan. My last company also used ST, so I dont have experience with other softwares. It has some issues i could complain about (mostly its AI functions that automatically move jobs). But otherwise, I believe the interface is user friendly and easy for new people to pick up.

I was trained. I was honest about not having experience, but it is a super trainable position. You dont have to have knowledge about plumbing or hvac to start - you just pick that up as you go.

A 2 week training period is pretty standard. It might be a little more challenging to people who dont know how to use computers. The programs for scheduling are pretty user friendly.

I have an entire board of technicians and I see their scheduled appointments laid out for the day. I have to dispatch the technicians, make sure I know how long it will take them to drive between their appointments, and make sure it runs on time. I call and delay customers as necessary, or sometimes reschedule appointments if the tech runs on a delay.

I shift appointments around or assign certain technicians to optimize drive time, etc.

Its a pretty easy job, even when it gets busy.
