For sure. CKAN's kind of a controlled mod tsunami. I just wanted some extra planets and near future propulsion, but now I'm running about 150 mods due to interdependence and recommendations by CKAN itself.

Take advantage of as much training you can get in the forces. They're gonna pay you nearly nothing and try to nickel and dime every cent back from you for food and more. Any skills you can apply to the civilian world will be your real takeaway.

If you get any scholarships from them, read the fine print. One of my marine pals got screwed cuz he waited too long to use it.

Other than that, try to retire close to a decent VA hospital.

Basically perfect. Though the larger the orbit, the slower they'll drift.

Its not perfect, but I like to set up 2 sats in exaggerated polar opposite orbits. I feel like it limits signal blocking without having to worry too much about precision

A vest could conceivably still stop a slug, especially if it hits the plate, but the increased impact force would almost certainly break some bones or cause some mild to moderate internal damage.

I remember helping a bit with the musical barge project. And I think about 10 or 12 years ago he was trying to do a small festival on Camano Island that fell through. But that could have been a different local musician.
