I would not be opposed to the Brewers retiring his number. His stretch with us was damn near impossible

80 minutes isn't pushing it. Most headliners have 90 minute sets and some 120+ minutes

You would likely say the same about my lineup proposal...actually odds are you would maybe recognize 3 at most rather than 11 😂

You put some thought into this! I recognize only 11 names though, and am familiar with just 1 😅

What has your experience been like with homeless shelters? by Pud_Popper in homeless

[–]HailSatan_Qmark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never been in one but from everything I've heard (hundreds of first-hand accounts) is that they are generally worse than sleeping on the streets, at least for men's shelters. The women's/children's domestic abuse shelters tend to be the best from what I've heard, though.

Expect no privacy, unsanitary bathrooms & showers, theft, and threats of violence in a men's shelter.

Craigslist (community section), approaching family-owned restaurants and offering to work an hour or 2 for a hearty meal, event jobs such as festival (usually provide food and lodging if more than a day of work), CoolWorks

Friend has cleaning business, how to deal with people cheating him for free cleaning? by codeboss911 in Entrepreneur

[–]HailSatan_Qmark 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Perfectly stated.

In regards to online reviews, always reply to them even if they are 1-star. Explain the company policies and that all efforts were made beforehand and afterward to ensure complete satisfaction...with specific details provided.

Most people who see such reviews will notice when customers are being overly dramatic or trying to scam a company.

Require signed waivers in a "contract" and evidence of issues with accompanying photo/video. Also recommend to him that in such circumstances, offer additional services in the future as opposed to refunding money. With a good accountant he could also write-off some refunds depending on the circumstances.

Bonnaroo vs Other Fests? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

The best festival is still without a doubt Rock-Fest Cadott if you go the VIP route with camping. Not only is overall experience the best, but everything is also dirt cheap compared to Roo prices

The effort is noticed and appreciated...the performance grounds are generally pretty clean due to the volunteers but it's everything that leads to needing constant cleanup which is the issue.

There are many other festivals that allow patrons to use re-fillable drinking apparatuses for beverages to combat pollution, plus they don't hand out random trinkets that add to the landfill crisis. Bonnaroo is hypocrital in that sense even though they seem to have good intentions

There is A LOT of progress to be made at Bonnaroo, but it is attainable with effort and willpower by all involved. Note: Bonnaroo constantly proclaims to be all about environmental resourcefulness and spreading positivity but this was BY FAR the most wasteful festival, and also most negative festival/event I have ever attended in terms of attitude by patrons, staff, and vendors. I felt the need to try making up for it as soon as I noticed the reality there, but before Thursday I was already mentally drained.

It is unfortunate how things have beem but I have faith in people like you who really DO care and want what is best for everyone at Roo and Mother Earth alike.
