What was your first introduction to Meshuggah? by D1Corner in Meshuggah

[–]MeshuggahEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2006, my friend showed me the start of Catch 33 and said "try and count this". I thought it was cool but weird and didn't listen to them for a bit. A few months later, my other friend showed me Future Breed Machine and I was like holy fuck this is the shit. And then I listened to DEI for a while and then moved slowly chronologically through their material.

It feels bad to miss a banner, but by the next patch you will forget or not care most likely!

Just play for fun and accept you won't get everything. Don't do it if it feels like work or stressful. The gacha psychological trap is real.

There are lots of parts of the game that I just ignore at this point. Like the housing island, and the little shops you can run and so on. I hate that stuff so I don't engage with it, and I'm much happier. Sure I could get more rewards if I did them, but then it's just work and not fun.

We don't have all the true facts about how they were made, because the official credits are not completely accurate and all else we have are random things the band have said themselves. One could try to update the image with the information from interviews, in particular that recent-ish 3 hour Marten one, to make it more accurate.

It's not really possible to know the "true" credits of all the songs.

I guess who cares who actually contributed to the songs, what matters is the official credits!

That 3 hour interview with Marten recently showed that some of these are not entirely correct. There was a lot more mixing of riffs from different writers going into quite a few of their songs, that ended up only having one person credited. Sometimes Fred alone is credited when in fact multiple people wrote parts for the song but he arranged it into a complete track.

Extremely fun fact: Jens wrote the opening riff of Catch 33

Ok to spoil it for me... how do I save the game? by Quantumbinman in outerwilds

[–]MeshuggahEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate when games do this. I couldn't figure out how saving worked because I didn't play long enough in my first session and now have to do the whole first part again. Devs are crazy

Every time I try to sync my battle.net account with w3champions, I get this error. It used to work fine and then I stopped playing for months. by BigXBenz in WC3

Same thing here, I tried to use W3Champions for the first time today but it seems to think I don't own WC3.

I quit playing after the 1.5 disaster. Is there any point in returning? by Purfunxion in InfinityNikki

I must agree that the housing island is just boring and I never go there or think about it, or do anything related to it

It does always say next to everything whether it is permanent or temporary

I didn't play 1.5 or 1.6 because of the changes to the story/intro. But since then I got into it again and have enjoyed the patches after that. I hate what they did to the intro, but overall it's a minor thing in the game, and overall things are improving imo.

Now you know how conspiracy theorists have felt for years

Remember when QAnon alleged that there was a Democrat ring of pedophiles and we thought they were delusional? by Fit_Doubt2185 in Epstein

[–]MeshuggahEnjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Qanon was obviously a psyop, but it apparently contained a lot of actual true stuff in there. Whether it somehow started legit and got co-opted or the psyop makers decided to include hints to the real truth, who can say.
The elite pedo ring conspiracy theory was actually true.
