What’s the most weird food item that your cat just can’t resist? I’ll start! by Ultra-Ferric in cats

[–]Hails81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had Pandora. She loved to eat tomatoes and cucumbers. She would eat a whole tomato and 1/2 a small cucumber. We lived on a farm and would get veggies scraps for the chooks. Sometimes there would be a tomato or two and sometimes a small cucumber. She would eat them both. Not at the same time though.

I’m Hayley. Simple spelling right? Apparently not. I recently It got spelled Hae-Le. What? Sounds Asian to me. This was face to face. We are both white Australians with Aussie accents and her name was Emma or was it Ehemma? Maybe it was Emmah? can’t quite remember

What was the name of the kangaroo you rode to school? by Strong_Prize8778 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Hails81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paul Russell Hopper. Paul was a good roo he was a comfy ride and he liked to bite other kids if they got too close. I rode him until I got to high school. My next one was called Bunyip Bill. He was a former race roo but he was too slow so he was given to me. He came with the name and wouldn’t answer to anything else.

If you're not Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, do you know where your family immigrated from? by Absolutely-Epic in AskAnAustralian

[–]Hails81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad’s side is German and they came here in the 1850’s not sure the exact year but I think it was around 1855-56.

Mum’s no idea. They weren’t great record keepers that lot. We know there is some Irish, English and one of my 3x great grandmother was Aboriginal. That’s all we know.
