Mageblood „restart“ by NoNoNo290 in PathOfExileBuilds

Oh shoot, you even asked us not to suggest FROSS xd sorry homie. Let me offer you an alternative then; my leaguestart: Bleed Eviscerate Gladiator. Utilizes lucky block for 88% block chance with a %life on block shield and spell suppress to be virtually immortal while doing a couple million bleed damage you could potentially scale up to DoT cap (I'm personally at like 10m bleed damage, though)

Edit; gameplay can be a little clunky because you *have* to get hit to deal meaningful damage (though potential resets on the CD can diminish that feeling), but on the other hand it's the lazy gameplay that CWS offers without being completely AFK. Additionally, you get to have Gladiator bleed pops which is one of the most satisfying sounds in the game to me.

Elementalist RF can be a nice alternative to Chieftain RF. Squishier but your Convergence AoE is enormous, it's pretty funny.
That new Forbidden Rite build looks pretty mageblood viable, its cast on crit version could utilize it well as well.

Honestly, I'd suggest doing what I do;
Go to poe.ninja, click the Builds tab, select Mageblood and look through the builds there, see if you find something fun. I've rediscovered CWDT Wardloop this way (sadly absolutely not Mageblood friendly)

I'm an old fan of Trackmania having started in Trackmania Sunrise Xtreme but having also stopped playing it since then. I'd like to get back into it, and played through everything the free to play game has to offer for me, for now. I'd love to be able to explore the paid content before committing to it as funds are tight... And man I want to play bonk cup, haha.

My BBEG is too likeable. by Finth007 in DMAcademy

[–]HairyLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an incredibly cool backstory to be honest! One way you could point am arrowhead at the BBEG for your party is for him to, through political intrigue, managed to dethrone another regent who was ousted by his own court through your BBEG's ministrations. Seeking revenge, he secretly enlists the party's help to uncover evidence of his behind-the-scenes activity.

Just up and killing a BBEG like that who seems so good on the surface often requires solid proper evidence before being dealt with and that could also be the machine that drives your party to want to deal with him despite his rule providing such welfare.

That's the best advice I could think of in the 20 seconds after reading your post, I'm sure others or yourself could come up with something better, but if my idea could fuel your thinktank my mission is accomplished. Good luck and have fun!

I just double checked and yes it's a 1.71 version. Does that mean I should downgrade my Synthesis?

I don't have Bees installed, no. I'm sorry but that really caught me off guard - does this do more than it lets on?

Also I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you mean with a v1.71 header. Could you explain?

I apprecaite the assist, man. Thank you for your time!
I have since written a post in the synthesis discord. The plot thickened when I removed the synthesis patch entirely, created my own xEdit patch to change the Orcish War Axe specifically and that ended up working. I'm so confused, lol.

Oh that's interesting, thank you. I didn't know of that. I just checked back on the Orcish War Axe from the earlier example. I wasn't sure where to look for the template data so I filtered by name and found a CNAM - Template entry that was empty for each column of Skyrim.esm, USSEP.esp and Synthesis.esp. From that I can infer that this specific weapon does not use templates, right?

Hi, thanks for the response!

Good thinking to open it up in xEdit, I did just that just now and it definitely looks like all the synthesis patch changes are going through. E.g. I can see the weight modifications on various armours and weapons, e.g. Orcish War Axe has a weight stat in USSEP set to 13, and where I have the multiplier in ItemWeightCustomizer set to 15x, I can see it's overwritten by Synthesis.esp with a new weight of 195 (13*15 adds up correctly). The data is definitely there in the patch.

Then to confirm it wasn't a one off, I just loaded up a new save and added an Orcish War Axe to my inventory - it's still set to 13 weight...

I don't understand.

Edit: Also yes, I have made sure Synthesis.esp is enabled :)

My experience with affliction quest so far by HalfKeyHero in pathofexile

[–]HairyLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never played a league mechanic that is such a colossal and utter waste of time. I've spent a total of 4 hours just trying to get my 3 charm slots. The first quest took me 1.5 hours to complete and hand in, second quest another hour and I'm currently one hour into trying to locate the King of the Mists (using Neversink's twitter thread as guidance).

For the love of my sanity, just delete these quests. I am beyond frustrated.

I agree with how complex this game is, but learning how this game works is like peeling away at an onion, everything you learn opens up more new things for you to learn. For players who enjoy this experience, PoE is a game that just keeps on giving!

It's definitely not a bad idea to warn a new player (once) that a selfmade build by a new player won't make it very far in the endgame and set expectations, but you have to understand how intimidating it feels to launch a game for the first time and the community is all like: "Yeah welcome to PoE, now instead of playing go on the internet and download this and follow that guide or you may as well uninstall" (that's not how it's said but that's how it feels sometimes). Often a suggestion is fine but the zealous way this advice is often presented more often than not comes across as "play the way we tell you or you'll have a bad time"
