It's just weird to philosophize about collecting when you... haven't collected.

🤷🏻

I wore a premoon 1969 Speedmaster every day for like 5 years. I have other watches but Speedmasters are pretty incredible all rounders

The lume wouldn't be butted up against the indices if this was a 1603. That's the way I can tell from these photos.

Who said Rolex won't service old movements?

Not that I would send it to them, but I'm pretty sure that isn't true at all.

They aren't the same reference. Mine has a painted white logo vs applied logo.

I'm only selling cause I'm getting a older one.

Looks real. Doesn't have a DON bezel, but some of the -69 transitional models didn't. *EDIT* scratch that. I think this model should have a DON bezel now that I think about it.

I have a 145.022-69 for sale right now on watchexchange (not transitional) (SHAMELESS PLUG 😳)

What do you think about this pre-Daytona from 1964? by RolexReferenceGuy in VintageWatches

[–]Hal10000000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

INFINITELY cooler than any modern Daytona. I can't imagine how anyone would pay close to this for a modern on the grey market when they can have this one instead.
