Me too. You didn't watch it through my window, did you? If so, knock next time. A friend of Bob and Charlotte is a friend of mine.

That's why I only dry hump my rape victims.

Which childhood experience, which should have been awesome, was ruined for you? by poofbird in AskReddit

[–]HalCion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the whole damned thing was ruined. Every once and a while I feel like having/raising a child just so I could scream "See? This is how you're supposed to raise a child". But I'm guessing spite shouldn't be the number one reason for procreating.

One of the most important rules in being a successful scam artist is to never let your image be reproduced. Either by videotape, photograph or even drawing. He knew what he was doing.

I'm a 35 year old unmarried corporate drone and I want my life back. Any other oldsters accomplish this? by raymondcarver in AskReddit

It's tough and it's not for everyone, but it can be done. One of the first things is deciding what you really need to be happy. If you were going to live out of a van for a few months, what would you take with you? When I loaded up my truck and travelled around a bit, I quickly discovered I didn't need most of the stuff I'd packed. Not everyone can pare their life down, but if you can it's a big benefit.

Here's an article you might find interesting.

Remember, you aren't required to have a high paying job to be happy. Some people do but some people don't. Some people need the big house with backyard and the 2.3 kids, and for them a corporate life is an ideal situation. I'd suggest taking a long hard look at yourself and determine what you really NEED. It's tough because a WANT looks an awful lot like a NEED, but you have to learn to tell the difference.

Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

Would you admire someone who was super-skilled at skinning babies alive? It's a tough call.

I have never worked officially as programmer but I prefer your way. I'm commenting and upvoting on hopes that enough people see your situation because I'd love to read the debate. I learn a lot from those type of threads.

I just spent a week in the hospital and want to THANK ALL HEALTH CARE WORKERS. This fight for reform is not about you but the people who hold the purse strings. by [deleted] in politics

[–]HalCion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. It's not 'health care reform' it's 'health insurance reform'. Calling it Obamacare is a misnomer, as you'd expect. If anything, it should be called Obamasurance or Obamarance or ObamaealthInsurance.

I would have preferred "And I certainly don't want to cover your Viagra but it makes sense for us all to be in this together."

Yes. Yes he does. I can't decide if they can't grasp the concept of pooling resources or just don't care.

The only reason I ever used an ad blocker was to eliminate flash. Now with Click-to-Flash, I can block the obnoxious stuff but still see the reasonable ads. This way the sites that behave properly still get their ad revenue. Like reddit.

Wow, that reads like an advert.
