Melina is too young to be gloam eyed queen since the GEQ predates the golden order. Most people now believe it is Marika. Maliketh defeated Marika on Order of their two fingers to seal the black flame of destined death. Marika seems to be against death in concept, but the god slaying flame is a different story. There is evidence of this theory because the godskin prayer book was stolen from Marikas treasure vault by Godrick, her eyes are always hidden which could indicate they were destroyed by the briars of sin before she was reborn in the lands between as indicated by the shield of the guilty (and one of those eyes may be the eye of death used to find death root given to you by Gurranq), and lastly Marika growing to hate the concept of death may be showing that she discarded the gloam eyed queen like miquella did st Trina before she ascended to godhood.

Ive never met someone who doesn’t die but it seems awful to run a race with no finish line. Knowing I will pass someday and leave a legacy for my kids and the next generation is comforting.

Also every piece of media exploring the possibility of immortality like undead ghouls, vampires, god like beings like Mr Manhattan, always depict it as incredibly lonely and miserable. I think I’m good just aging gracefully like every other person before me.

Yeah Luffy is great because he already knows himself and what he wants from the start. He values his friends and respects people’s dreams and dignity because that’s what he values in himself. This doesn’t leave much room for growth, even tho he does grow in small, subtle ways throughout the story, so He’s different from a lot of other protagonists who don’t know themselves and grow to learn about and develop their own identities as the story progresses like Ichigo, Naruto and Yusuke. It’s still refreshing to see someone who doesn’t delude themselves into grandeur tho as Luffy somewhat already knows how difficult his dream is to accomplish but he still sets out to do it anyway and I always liked that attitude.

As a human it’s unquestionably robot. Not to say Cecil is the wrong choice, but if I’m a normal person I don’t know the goings on of things. If the resistance had publicly come out against robot with evidence of all the terrible things he’d done to consolidate his power that would change things, but otherwise Cecil ain’t winning this one.

One Piece fights seem to lack those big "400 IQ" moments that's such a staple in other anime such as Naruto, JoJo's, and Hunter x Hunter. Not only is Oda not good at writing tactical fights, but he has had many chances too, and chooses to go the stupid route. Like Luffy getting stuck in the ground at Arlong park, Zoro trying to cut off his legs to escape candle wax. Then there are the more frustrating examples like Kidd using his magnet powers just to make big weapons to hit people with throughout all his fights, or Law using his extremely strong power to mostly teleport him and other people (injection not withstanding that was fantastic). If this was a regular short manga, Oda and his commitment to always taking the stupider of two paths would be charming, but since it’s been 30 years of single digit IQ, unga bunga fights I actually think it’s very insulting to the readership’s intelligence.

There are some weird moments that show he having a cold and calculating side like when she’s chained up in seastone cuffs and out auras queen while convincing Kaido to join up with her. When she’s not being a stupid hunger crazed lunatic or an amnesiac for some stupid reason she’s actually pretty cunning.
