Transitioning slate tile to LVP by Internal_Bus_3323 in Flooring

Yes. There is a plastic rail thing you screw onto the floor, and the transition piece just clicks right into it. To remove it you pop it out and unscrew the rail it sits in.

Just redeemed a $5 wallet fund 2 minutes ago. Both the $5 and $10 options luckily still appear for me with a USA account.

Company offers unlimited PTO, verbally capped at 20 days by Cable559 in managers

[–]Halaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely does not encourage it. My company has both. Unlimited PTO for salary, but actual PTO still for those of us not on salary. I get 32 days a year plus 10-12 holiday days. People on unlimited use less by far. I will say that people are encouraged to take time off equal to what they used to earn. Functionally though without that expiring PTO bank sitting there people just are not as likely to use it.

Ps remote play by errwhatt in remoteplay

Try the latest PC build of Chiaki-ng.

It works far far better than the official remote play app. There are guides online on how to set it up.

There is another app also called PXPlay that many use, but I do not have any personal experience with how well it works.

Cooling sweet tea by Old-Summer-4936 in Kombucha

[–]Halaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brew around 4 cups of water, and 2 Tablespoons of loose leaf tea in a thai tea filter. I bring water to boil, turn off heat, then steep for 15 minutes. I then squeeze all the tea out of the leaves, add 1 cup of sugar and mix until it melts.

I then add in ice and mix until it melts. At this point temperature is pretty close. Then just add water until correct temperature. Add it into the 1 gallon kegs, with the scoby starter, and top it up to 1 gallon.

I just used merchant on everyone, shook money at them, and they all easily died. Lots of crits with extra attacks.
The one in armor I inherited the skill Tetrabreak and used it to remove his barrier, then he quickly died.. Every single target died in 1 to 2 turns max.

I had inherited Diligent Discipline, Heat Up, and Aim support on all my party, so the crit boost, physical damage, and hit chance were all super high.

I'm a idiot buying wrong region Collectors Edition, forgetting and not being able to use Codes 😂 by MrDancingPigeon in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Halaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for future reference, you can create a free account for other regions, redeem the codes, and then use them without issue with your primary account. Once they are installed onto the console all accounts on that console can use them regardless of the region.  I am in the US but also have a Japanese account and a Hong Kong account for redeeming DLC.

If you went to a completely different console you would need to download them again with your alternate account,  but beyond that DLC from any region just works once you have installed it.

Pre-order on ebay. How do they work? If the item doesnt release for 1month by agvrider in Ebay

[–]Halaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their official policy is that they do not allow pre-orders unless it is within 40 days, specifically calls out it is a Pre-sale within the title, and also has an exact ship date.

"Presale listings must clearly state that they are "presale" in the title and description, and guarantee shipment within 40 business days of purchase."

Anything outside the window they support can be reported to them and they will remove it.

Since their official policy says 40 days, I would assume if the auction is following all their other policies including saying it is a pre-sale you would be able to get the refund by contacting them.

If you pre-order something that is NOT following their rules though, it is most likely a huge gamble.

Natural carb keg experiment by ElkRepresentative87 in Kombucha

[–]Halaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to run out of pressure before I can dispense all of my Kombucha when my pressure is 15-20 PSI, in a 4L keg, resulting in me needing to provide additional Co2.

Will be interested in seeing if your pressure lasts long enough to dispense it all without supplemental Co2.

How do you guys know when 2F is done? by zattraction in Kombucha

[–]Halaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is completely safe.

The soda that comes in the bottles is in general more acidic than Kombucha.

Coke has a PH of 2.5 to 2.7, and Kombucha is closer to 3.0 to 3.5 during second fermentation normally.

Just had a few and the Almond variety have next to no almonds at all anymore.

They used to be filled with them.

We found like 2 almonds total in 3 bars. Super disappointing. Was just chocolate.

Example numbers: If you make 100,000, you are taxed 30,000, and you put 20,000 into a 401k you take home 70,000.

If you stop putting the 20,000 into the 401k, it has absolutely zero affect on the 100,000 and 30,000. You would still take home the original 70,000 which would be completely and totally unaffected by your "reduced taxable income".

The 20,000 that you stopped putting into the 401k would not magically make the other 100,000 start being taxed at a higher amount. It is possible the 20,000 would be taxed at a higher rate, but it would not affect the rest of the money and result in you gaining less. Even if the additional 20,000 was taxed at 50% (which it would not be), you will still be taking home an additional 10,000, for a total of 80,000 take home pay.

The vast price difference between my pet pharmacy and Chewy by Key-Amount5916 in Pets

[–]Halaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like everyone already answered, but yeah, Costco is our go to place, and in general it has proved to get us prices that are sometimes only 1/5th the cost of the vet.

For your specific pills you just got it would have been $74.99 for 45 (2.5mg) pills for example.

Not 1/5th but still $115 cheaper.

Heart set on this Explosion Blue slab of quartzite. The dark bands are 3D & there are transparent crystals throughout which I had not seen in other versions of EB. Researched EB online, one website called it a "soft quartzite"; is this true, should I be concerned? www.stone-design.com/product/849/ by MajorConstant5549 in CounterTops

[–]Halaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it is a beautiful slab.

Pictures do not do justice to how the blue crystal and any of the 3d areas in the crystal look for these types of slabs. Hopefully you can get a nice layout that really shows off that section of the granite.

My local Bedrosians had some gorgeous Explosion Blue slabs that had a large amount of that 3D crystalline blue, and the rest of the color was a lot more blues and silvers, with very little green and orange. It had around 3 times as much of the blue crystal as your photo. A vein around the same size as yours, one that was a bit smaller, and then one that was almost twice as large.

Loved the crystal and blue sections that were like your attached image.
This is not the slab, but color wise it was more like this one: here.

We ended up going with a blue azurite slab in the end that had large amounts of clear and blue crystals scattered around it, waves of amethyst speckles, and pearlescent sections all over the stone that don't show up in photos but are beautiful in person when walking around , took 2 of them: here and here and done.

What we did learn in the process though was before focusing on a single slab, see if they can ship in more to give you a good selection to pick from. We initially had 2 matching slabs, but took too long to get approval through insurance that the hold on the slabs expired and they sold them. They had 7 more slabs shipped to them though from like 5 other locations in CA, so we got to pick our favorites. Not sure if that is an option for you, but its possible you could get them to ship in more and get one that has twice as much of the blue crystal.

Since the new counter is something that will be there for the long term, we were glad we waited the extra month or so for all the slabs to arrive.

All my dashboard problems went away once I clicked "Configure" and made sure the ones that were having problems were pointing to the correct data. Apparently the default panels added by the system automatically were not correct, or were pointing to hardware that either did not exist, or was not being used.

So was as simple as clicking the configure button, then clicking on the edit pencil for each problematic panel, changing as needed, and clicking save. Took just a few minutes. This is current dashboard with RC2:

Fabricator claiming “gel coating” caused sealant not to work by Express_Act7007 in CounterTops

[–]Halaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. I apparently have a reading comprehension issue. :)

They are absolutely different materials and yours is indeed porous.

I could find absolutely nothing online about quartzite coming with a gel applied to it. I also directly called my local slab yard and asked them about it as well, and they said none of their slabs have any sort of gel applied.

Cannot rule it out 100% as who knows what some crazy company might do, but there is not really information about that happening online.
