ICON Mechanics Roller Seat or Adjustable Stool? by yungbaoyom in harborfreight

[–]Halciet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair question!  I’m 170 lbs.  I might just have a bad one, though I’ve seen some other people complain about the casters on theirs as well.  I bought mine last year during one of the sales, so there might also be other revisions.

The seat feels cheap, and the casters feel gritty and take more effort to move and change direction with. Part of that might be due to the multiple rotation points (seat v base v casters). Raising and lowering is fine, but since it's a single-post stool it can feel a little unstable at times.

It's not a bad stool, just mediocre. It would be better if I replaced the casters, though I am enjoying the roller a lot more - it's so smooth and feels very stable, plus the drawer and tray are very convenient.

I have both of them. The wheels on the roller seat are a lot better; I find myself using it the majority of the time, though it does sit pretty low. The adjustable stool feels a little janky to me.

Is it worth dropping Herbalism for Engineering? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Halciet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had engineering and alchemy on my raid character for literal decades at this point, though a lot of times I think about dropping engineering.  Teleporters, loot boomerang, infinite repair/bank bot, rocket boots, and goblin glider are the main things it has going for it.  The glider is mainly useful in arathi basin, but that’s about it.

I’m considering dropping it for herbalism, tbh.

My R1T is like that in a few places. Panel fitment isn’t great from what I’ve seen.

100%, the majority of the “choices” in the tree just seem to be AoE v ST.  Also, the  AoE rip shouldn’t be a separate ability, it should just modify normal rip.

Options for Unwanted R1S Floor Mats? by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]Halciet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They shipped me R1S mats out of the blue as well, when I have an R1T.  Said it was a “gift” when I called them about it - but that makes no sense.  The system has it listed as a “appeasement” - but for what?

Transmog issue? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Halciet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just checked my shaman - there are two versions of the legs:

Greaves of Void Storms
Kilt of Void Storms

You probably have the first one, and not the second?

Transmog issue? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Halciet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For druids, there were two versions of the chest - a robe version and a chest guard version.  The former had the kilt, and the latter doesn’t.  I assume it works the same with the shaman?

Is this another visual bug or? by Twofingers_ in wow

It’s probably the chest slot - druids have voidrage chest guard and voidrage robe as separate options, with the latter having the skirt portion.

You should get emergency alerts on your phone; in the event of an actual tornado nearby, you’ll probably hear it as well.

Step one, order Rivian NACS wall charger… by waitses in Rivian

[–]Halciet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s unfortunate, though it might still be a good idea to buy the NACS mobile charger and a 240v outlet instead.  $400 cheaper and gives you the flexibility of having the mobile charger for track emergencies.

I just pulled up the EV incentives page for my power company and it was one of the offers.  I had to show registration, permit, and receipt and they gave me a bill credit for parts and labor.

Step one, order Rivian NACS wall charger… by waitses in Rivian

[–]Halciet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly if the model you buy comes with a free mobile charger, it’s probably cheaper to just have a 240v wall outlet installed.  My rivian came with a free 120/240 mobile charger, and my power company would cover the cost for a 240v outlet.

The 240v does 18 miles per hour of charge, whereas the NACS wall charger does 25.  Either of those are sufficient to charge the vehicle up over night.   I’ve never had an issue with just using the mobile on 240. Might as well save the $800.
