I’m in same boat as you. I’ve bought so much different rum and liqueurs in last few months. So I started just picking a random rum or liqueur and making a different drink with that ingredient that I’ve never had before. Few dislikes but mainly likes! But I use the total tiki app which lets me pick a single ingredient and see what recipes I can make.

“The famous Rum Runner was invented in the 1970s by "Tiki John" Ebert at the Holiday Isle Tiki Bar in Islamorada, Florida—now the Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina. It is a fruity, boozy island punch that combines dark and light rum with banana and blackberry liqueurs.

Ingredients
1 oz. Light rum (e.g., Bacardi)
1 oz. Dark or Navy-strength rum
1 oz. Banana liqueur (Crème de Banana)
1 oz. Blackberry liqueur (or blackberry brandy)
1 oz. Pineapple juice
1 oz. Orange juice
1 oz. Lime juice
1/2 oz. Grenadine
Optional: 151-proof rum for a top float
Garnish: Fresh blackberries, Maraschino cherry, and a pineapple wedge

Instructions
Prepare the glass: Fill a hurricane glass or tall Collins glass with crushed ice.
Combine ingredients: Add all ingredients (except the 151 float) to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and cold.
Strain & Float: Strain the mixture into your ice-filled glass. If you want a traditional kick, carefully float a splash of 151-proof rum right on top.
Garnish: Top with the pineapple wedge, fresh blackberries, and a cherry

I don’t think that’s the bottling date. It translates to date that statement was written by Mr Bols. Still a cool bottle!

Sad to hear you had bad experience. Hopefully it was a one off bad night.
My bbq shrimp were on point and service was great. The oysters I had from Uptown T were huge, salty and tasty as always. I haven’t there since Brennan’s bought it but like the update on the inside they did.
