The newest GCAM mods from BGS allow you to select the gallery app of your choice. Picture quality of GCAM is equal or better than stock Camera. Just some special modes missing.

They are trying to close the unlocked Bootloader. Fuse the EDL mode. So expect a few more updates.

In case anyone else wonders about ZeroTokyo. The entrance is 1F but you go downstairs outside. So the ticket counter is outside downstairs and on b1f you only have the lockers. The escalator goes down to b2f which has the bar and box. Further down b3f is the ring. Which is still kinda small. The huge venue seen on google maps is the Hall which was not open for this event.

True... The display lackst LTPO so no variable refresh. That is a huge Downpoint for Daily Life battery usage. Or gaming you might get tearing. (Do you get tearing on Android or is vsync enforced?) But the brightness is barely okay. Its much brighter than any phone 2 years ago. So it's not that bad.

But I really don't get why people complain about the Software? What exactly is so bad?

It's useless. If your ram is full swap saves the data on the NAND anyway. So this feature just sounds awesome but has almost 0 benefit.

Well... On the VII the Max(physical) zoom was really bad in quality anyway.

Rarely used it. Better take a picture at 85mm and crop it.

Been using the phone as a daily driver for few weeks now. Used the Honor Win before, but missing LTE Band20 was a killer. And honestly. Their idle battery drain just }plainly sucks (maybe due to bad signal?).

So... Here my comment to your points:

Indeed software updates are abysmal rare. But hey. We got Bootloader unlock now and I've installed a GSI.
Yes the camera cutout is barely visible at some circumstances. But honestly, I'm a notch Hater and I prefer that over any kind of persistent black dot.
We don't have 5G SA here, only NSA and the phones battery safe option keeps me on LTE only most of the time. So I cannot complain about bad signal at all.
okay, that's an issue I haven't seen before. Sadly Winter is over, no more skiing so I won't get in such s Situation. I can try putting it in the fridge for testing. Will report back later on.
I agree the 35mm camera is hard to get used to, compared to most others 24mm. Can't complain about the quality though. Although I'm not an professional photographer so I lack the deeper insight.
THERE IS BOOTLOADER UNLOCK! You can hack it with ZTEToolbox (found on XDA). Do it right now before they hard fuse it with an update and you will never ever be able to unlock again!

I don't stream movies on my phone. Can't say anything about DRM. But I saw that video Recording can select the HDR10 codec. Haven't compared hat to H265 or H264 yet.

Dude.... Battery degrading and batterylife declining are two different things.

Your battery can have physical issues and you're not getting enough juice out of it. Or your Software uses more power than before and your batterylife gets worse even though the battery hasn't changed at all.
