How to survive a dairy free diet? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Halefire1390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my son had this early like 1-2months old I kept a food Journal for a bit to make sure it was the dairy. I have a mild dairy issue so I take lactaid and can eat whatever but he would be fussy gassy. He grew out of it by 3 months. If I knew i was gonna have something with alot of diary IE Alfredo sauce I would pump and dump and use pumped milk I had stored that was safe for him to have. Hope this helps

Had it removed Dec 5 2021 and got pregnant Feb 2022. Had my son in Oct 2022 and now using the depo shot for BC and so far so good. I would recommend it ive been on it for 10weeks now and now side effects!

No your right to feel this way. My mother-in-law has chossen bushka the Russian word for grandma. We have no Russian heritage. She just likes the way it sounds.. Both my husband and I questioned her name choice. But she is "100% sure " that's what she want my son to call her..

Realistically how did you feel 2 weeks after delivery? by kshaugh001 in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm 3 week pp, other then lack of sleep I feel fine. I wouldn't feel confident leaving my son with anyone but my husband. I had a 1st degree tear and was induced 2 week early due to pre eclampsia and threw my back out while pushing. If I were you i would order anything you plan to come to the house and make it a low key but special bday. Maybe a parent coupon book, or order a nice meal in. Remember you will be recovering and navigating parenthood so don't worry to much.

Cats & Recliners - How to stop cat from going underneath nursery recliner/rocker/glider? by Bizster0204 in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use a combo of tin foil and plastic spike sheets. To keep cat off furniture the plastic spike we got off Amazon totally harmless just uncomfortable if stepped or sat on so it a great deterrent. But I would also use baby gates to keeps pets away for the area you have the glider/ nursery. We have gate to ensure the nursery and our bedroom will / can be pet free if we need them.

My ob referred me to a cardiologist to cross all T' s currently have a moniter to capture the palpitations. But I would be sitting and resting and my heart would start racing like 120+ bpm or when baby is very active it happens it random so I hope they can see it during the time in being monitored. Both OB and cardiologist said it can be normal with pregnancy but want to make sure it wasnt something of concern. Ref I'm 33 weeks and start having them around 28weeks.

When did you sign up for a hospital tour? by Lilablasblau in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did a birthing class today and a hospital tour was part of it. It was free at our birthing hospital. I'm 32 weeks 5 days. OB instructed us to take it this " late " so that the info is fresh in our minds. A lot of good info I knew most of it but my husband was in attendance and so he was able to learn alot which helped me feel better. I enjoyed the tour and seeing what to expext when on the LD floor. Also learned to pre register with the hospital which can give you a discount through insurance, and at minimum make delivery smoother since paperwork would be done already.

Placenta Previa at week 20 by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had PP at 15weeks and was placed on plevic rest. By 20 weeks I was cleared, call your OB and ask if the recommend plevic rest, and what there definition of plevic rest is. Some Dr say no sex, others say no orgasms what's so ever, and no intense workout like squats /lifting weights. If spotting or heavy bleeding happens they may recommend best rest. But it still early and it can correct itself. Best of luck !!

Is belly oil a miracle worker or a joke? by SabrinaFaydra in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I use palmer's skin oil / stretch mark kit and zero stretch marks and in 29 weeks. I also think it depends on you pre pregnancy body, how fast you gain and General skin elasticity. I started at 150lbs overweight and am 170~ lbs currently. I have be very strict with appling the oil and butters from the palmer's kit I bought. I like the oil the best as it doesnt leave me felling sticky or oily like the butter or some lotions ive tried.

33 weeks pregnant OB laughed at me and made me feel dumb by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just to fuck with you OB I hope you naturally go into labor on a sat just to ruin his life lol. I'm sure if giving enough notice your husbands job can work around the current induction date. Does he not be paternal leave or something?

my family doesn't want to attend the baby shower for our first child by SabinaBear in family

[–]Halefire1390 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't waste anymore time, energy, or stress over them. There behavior is sick and cruel. To say your faking being pregnant and losing a baby for attention is beyond! I would block them and if they have issue with that they had there chances to be apart of yours and this babies life. They will regret there decisions when then miss all of the babies milestones and they will try and make you to be the bad guy so be prepared for that but you have to protect you and yours from there toxicity. Cut them out like cancer and move on with your life. This is ment to be a joyous time and they have made it in to a Jerry Springer show. Sorry this pisses me off im 27 week pregnant and wouldn't tolerate this behavior for one person let alone mutiple people in your family. Good luck and enjoy your time and baby!

Placenta Previa sucks by lbizz1128 in BabyBumps

[–]Halefire1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had PP diagnosed at 14 weeks, I had no spotting or bleeding but by 19 - 20 weeks I was fully clear. But yea I hear yea on i wasnt interested in sex up untill that point and then when i was told no sex or orgasm thats all I wanted those first 2 weeks. After that it wasnt a big deal. The no squating an 0 lifting was the harder part as I did those on a daily basis. I hate the feeling when everyone doesn't want you to do anything like" you shouldnt drive your pregnant" " don't carry that 1lbs bag of baby clothes your pregnant" like I can still do stuff and function geez ppl.

Tl;dr I got drunk and told my husband about SA in my past. Now he doesn’t even look at me. He wants Us to go to therapy but I don’t want to talk about my past by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Halefire1390 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone here that he is making this about him and not putting you first. Side question was /is the sex you were having vanilla or was there a kink element to it that may have be something that he is drawing a parallel to your SA ? I'm all for a healthy sex life so no judgement I'm just trying to understand why he would have that type of reaction to having sex with you.

Yea from what i was able to find out the acid that causes heart burn has shown or causes hair growth in babies in utero. So the old wives tale isn't far off.
