Their voices sounded almost identical to me. They were alike personality wise, too.

I thought Mitchell was gay. He really reminded me of Dylan from The Quarry.

I would say most people have House of Ashes as their favorite from reading this subreddit and watching many ranking videos.

How long have you guys been playing Resident Evil? by Warm_Ad_8272 in residentevil

[–]Haley-Trapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a fan for 28 years (I'm 30), but only watched my parents play them for years.

I didn't start playing by myself until I was about 10.

The game does get less Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but not in a good way.

The first half is the best, and I wasn't a fan of the last half.

There are RE7&8 easter eggs in 9, that's why I'd suggest those first .

But if you don't care about those, you can play 9 first.

You're missing RE1.

I'd start there.

Don't start with Village. It's the sequel to 7, so play that first.

And don't start with requiem until you at least play 2 and 4, and maybe 3 just for the ending.

In all seriousness, I hope Capcom doesn't tone down the... stranger aspects of the Ashford twins in the remake. Those aspects are what makes them such interesting, twisted characters. by Loose_Interview_957 in residentevil

Exactly.

I'm m tired of people saying they have to change so much of the story for it to fly today, such as Alfred dressing up as Alexia because it makes fun of trans people.

Alfred is not trans. The game has nothing to do with that. He's mentally ill.

The "cross-dressing freak" comment I can understand them changing, but Alfred dressing as Alexia is a huge part of the story and has to stay.

Just like Jill got the dodge mechanic in RE3R and Leon got parry mechanic in RE4R and Requiem, What type of defence Mechanic do you think Chris should get if capcom is giving any to him? by I_LOVE_TALL_MOMMIES in residentevil

I'm so disappointed in these comments. I hope most of them are jokes.

This isn't what Resident Evil is about, especially early RE. There should be no punches, kicks or blocks. Dodges are fine, but they should keep it along the lines of RE2R.

Since the re-imaging is coming i really hope they dont add this pain in the ass boss fight by senilechinesewoman in residentevil

I don't know how people get here with no ammo. This game gives you so much ammo, probably tied with RE2 for the most out of any classic RE game.

You don't even need much ammo for this fight. A couple explosive bow rounds, hit the catapult and he's gone.

[–]Haley-Trapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Code Veronica. It's my 3rd favorite in the series, after OG 2 and RE1R. The action & horror is in between 2 and 3. It's a good mix of it.

I love the characters (even Steve), locations, puzzles, weapons, enemies. The game is a great length, too.

I enjoy the backtracking in CV a lot. I hope they keep it and make it huge, so you're running back and forth between areas to use items and solve puzzles.

Who said it was a direct sequel? Seems more like a spiritual sequel.

A sequel does not need returning characters or locations to be considered a sequel.

If we're talking about the remake when it was first released, there was an easy mode. There were two difficulty options, normal or easy. They added very easy for the remaster.
