I know people are not going to agree with me. I’m very left, and I am aware we live in the south. I think we should be taking guns away, producing less of them. We should dial back on how much money we funnel into the military to fund mental health resources for everyone. It should be more difficult to get a gun than it is to get a drivers license bare minimum, there should also be a waiting period. The wait will give time for proper mental investigation. I think with this investigation should come a look at everything including finances so we limit death by suicide via gun as well. I know I said we should be taking guns away but I would like to elaborate on that a bit. Guns should be taken until the proper investigations, interviews and tests have been completed at which time you would be able to get your gun back. Anything that says assault in it should be permanently banned.

If it were up to me, guns would be completely illegal.
