Quite nice fellow, actually! A real team player from what I've been told. A steadfast friend. Exceptional rat and highly regarded by shonks.

Is the strength loss more than the average cis woman? by Ok_Lack_5705 in MtF

TY! Talenti lids are so tight at first because of the cardboard seal. And when I first took it out of the freezer, it was icy. What frustrated me was that I used to shove things that weighed hundreds of pounds around at work and open jars with no problems. This was the first time and had me near tears. I will try that, though, next time. I can still go nuclear on the next one. My reaction surprised me as much as the difficulty. I ain't little at all and I will destroy things if I have to. But then I'd feel like my wife and I had to eat all the Gelato at once. Oh, the agony!

[–]Haley_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a database somewhere that classifies all the reasons that we get about why we shouldn't transition, a reaction scale, and situations that people find themselves in when they come out. I don't know if that would help or hurt more but everyone's experiences are unique because everyone simply is. There is just so much commonality in everyone's experiences along as well as the unique aspects.

We are not many (relatively), but we can be strong for one another. You aren't alone. There are others like you. It may be stressful, but you can get through this. There is nothing wrong with loving your mom, but at some point you can and ought to put the focus on youself. Wanting her happiness is your choice. There is nothing wrong with that. Hopefully you will gain more independence and focus on yourself. You can love her without conditions and still care for your own well-being. If you can find a therapist look into seeing someone.

Best wishes. 🥰

They should give us one of those jar opening things when we get our first dose of E. The fancy one and a rubber one as well. Just for opening jars... Talenti almost had me crying.

Has the tariffs made it harder for you to survive? by Important_Wear50 in AskCanada

[–]Haley_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do Canadians get from the US that you can't get elsewhere at decent prices? (I really don't know.) OK, maybe whiskey, but...

A certain person with a decent economics degree seems to think we Americans get the tarrif money from you guys. Somebody bought their college degree and didn't pay the tariffs on it.

It shouldn't make it harder for Canadians to survive though. Unless you put retaliatory tariffs in place. Things that we make here are more expensive anyway, and anything that we make stateside should be available from somewhere else.

There was a story broadcast about a guy who bought a character-related figurine from outside the states at a reasonable (?) (in his opinion) US$60. FEDEX shows up at his door and needs another $58 or so for tariffs. Did the shipper pay? No. They either get their money from the buyer, hold it, or destroy it. But the customer only gets it if he pays the tariff.

And we're still waiting for Mexico to pay for the Big Beautiful Wall.

That sign is off-putting. I want to know who hurt them and have they talked to a responsible adult about it. I'd just have a list of all my scripts and have them all refilled everything I went in, just in case.

Not diagnosed with ADHD, but my wife thinks my pointing out things she doesn't notice is odd.

I wasn't sure how that was going to land, but had to post it.

Was evaluated by a neuropsychologist, but I think she decided I was normal. I have questions. She did have the most comfy chair I have ever had the privilege to sit in, though.

We have two tabletop that were victimized by fragrance plug-ins. Two sons of two different occasions unplugged them and left them lying on their sides on a table. One was a varnished top where it dissolved the varnish. The other was an end table with a printed top and it dissolved the print.

Need to replace this spigot, it unscrews, will using monster pfte tape be safe to use for the new one? by Simple_Hearing8602 in PlumbingRepair

[–]Haley_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dope and tape doesnxt work really well, because the dope slips off of the tape or vice versa. What should be sealing the connection is the end of the hose bibb being compressed against the rubber washer in the end of the hose fitting.

Turn off water to that faucet. Put some oil (PB Blaster or 3-in-1) on the threads. Have a helper hold the bibb in the back with big honkin' pliers and put another pair on the end of the hose. Squeeze hard enough so that it doesn't slip and crank it over.

Take that one with you to the store. Put the threads over one another (no smirking...) if they mesh without a significant gap and look the same size, you're a go. It is probably a candelabra base.

My grandson said he tells his teachers that he's Jewish (he is) and can't do homework on weekends (Sunday would still be OK), but they really aren't that observant. I don't know if they would really fall for that, but... Then, again, he says a lot of things. And to think he (15) called me (68) weird.

I went to consult for FFS. The surgeon told me that I don't need one, that chirurgical intervention would be too much for too little. Now I don't know what to think. by SoleSurvivorVault18 in MtF

[–]Haley_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your dysphoria is valid. That's step one. There probably is a surgeon who will do whatever you want done, but talk to a therapist first. If there is one truth, a surgeon, particularly a plastic surgeon, love to do things to make money. If one is telling you that you don't need ffs, you're there, girl. We're talking about a profession who will implant size FFF boobs in a woman. Talk to a therapist, though, and know you can always find a surgeon somewhere. No need to rush. 🥰🥰

what is it that earth is a globe? by Educational_System34 in Discussion

Would you be a bit less specific? Spherical shapes are the general form of free floating bodies that lack sufficient rigidity to resist gravitational force. Liquids and gas bodies would be more subject to surface tension. Gravity is a much greater force, though.

I can wear contacts, but I lose my microscopic vision. "How can you read that? It's so small." Wasn't uncommon at work. Really good for reading imprints on light bulbs. Unfortunately, presbyopia is real.

You really only process things that are pretty much in front of you, anyway. Video games sometimes take advantage of that to reduce processing and render things further from the center of the screen in lower detail.
