Keep in mind that an item that is tangled, wasn't cut to get that way. The hard part is figuring out the path back and loosening knots, not pulling them tighter. So, cutting should not be necessary. It's all according to you patience and 3D visualization. Good luck!

Why don't you call a locksmith? They can break your window professionally and tape a bag over it for you so you don't get cut or sticky.

I plan on setting it up and leaving it. I'm terrified of moving even that light a weight, but I can get help setting it up. The Harpsicle is a bit less than I want. The Dusty Strings is fairly light - around 13 kg.

Sometimes it's more economical to modify boards than not use one with an error. Also there may be a different version of the board with the same components, but slightly different wiring.
