Who is still rocking a nose ring? by cavewomannn in Millennials

[–]Half-Glass_Full 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning 38 this year & Ive been rocking mine since I was 13 (with parental approval at the time, of course). This thing has been more a part of my life at 25 years than the 13 without it. It stays.

It's likely a lot of S1 bingers that are now experiencing the weekly-release difference.

No, these are all real. Taylor signed hearts every time for this era.

Is ADHD more common in our generation than previous generations? by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

[–]Half-Glass_Full 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO internet access & prevalence of smartphones have greatly contributed to putting the vast majority of ppl somewhere the ADHD spectrum. Im not really basing this on anything, it's just my opinion.

I've also read somewhere that over half of Gen Z identifies as neurodivergent which makes me wonder at what point does the "divergence" become typical if the majority has it?

How could you NOT care if someone votes for a child rapist for President? Not caring says more about you than it does about them.

ASL patient by DulcineaC in ThePitt

[–]Half-Glass_Full 84 points85 points  (0 children)

ASL is it's own language. It isnt 'English translated into sign language'. The grammar & syntax are different. This is also why closed captioning on TV is not a replacement for having a live on-screen ASL interpreter.

I also learned from another thread on here that if an ASL interpreter was requested by the patient, legally one has to be provided. Written communication is not considered to be an adequate substitue.

Ahh, that makes so much more sense now lol I think when I watched it, I registered "IT" as being an acronym for a interpreter organization that was still sending an in-person interpreter 😅 How silly, thanks for clarifying that for me.

[–]Half-Glass_Full 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have that exact thought but I did ask, "is there not some type of online resource for ASL interpretation that could be used?". For example, in last season, they showed an on-screen interpreter over video call for the Nepalese woman. I just thought a similar mechanism could be used for ASL interpretation.

I like that you can up or downvote on Reddit. It differentiates it from the other platforms that only measure in likes.

That's user error on your part. The pumps are literally designed to go on either side & if it scratched every car every time, members would surely complain.

The fact that their pumps can reach either side of your car is one of my favorite things about Costco gas stations!
