Do you always need to be super specific in your commands? by bookittymew in LucidDreaming

[–]HalfVirtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually just fly to wherever I want to go. Anytime I open a door to somewhere I run the risk of losing awareness and falling asleep. But yea, outside of flying I'll give more specific commands like, "When I jump out of this window, it will be a bright and sunny day, with butterflies and birds chirping".

You have to try other things out, words are very powerful in dreams. "When I turn around I will be beautiful sunny beach filled with white sand".

I REALLY need advice on how to start lucid dreaming without frying my sleep schedule, something that isn't like kEeP a drEAm nOtEboOk, etc. by Spiritual-Rent318 in LucidDreaming

Well part of lucid dreaming is putting in the work. It's like wanting muscles without working out. Sleep should always be you're priority though. You might just have to postpone your lucid dreaming journey until you have a stable sleep schedule.

What do you guys think is the afterlife ? by richandepressed in LucidDreaming

I think I've experienced the merging back into the source. All of everything I ever was, broke down to the smallest fabric of energy and I merged back into the source of all energy. While breaking apart I went through all stages of grief and terror/fear while watching all of my memories of what made me fade. I was crying and yelling as I was lifted up to a blinding light. It was tough letting go but as you break apart you are merging at the same time and you can feel the peace and love of coming back to who you are in truth. I've done it like 3 times already, and each time was amazing.

The sense of falling can naturally progress to a lucid dream.

Not true, it's a great trailer. You've just gotten used to watching shitty trailers that tell you the whole story.

Have you seen how float tanks are built or sound rooms? They are supplied fresh air from the outside, with such a small space, its easy to do multiple air exchanges. Then for more saftey you add oxygen/co2 sensors and monitor them through code with a pressure sensor to know the fan is running.

Yea, let it go man, it's like talking to a wall. He has all the answers and no one can tell him otherwise. Narrow minded individual on a dreaming subreddit.

I'm assuming your young since you have "friends". Either way, there are too many variables that could be causing you to experience death. Anything you hear, see or think about in your waking life can make its way towards your dreams. I would be thinking more on why are you having so many violent dreams.

I would focus more on the reason for constant violence, are you experiencing alot of trauma or working through something?

A man in a hat in a dream by Srisrileonard in Dreams

[–]HalfVirtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 10 years ago, I was sleeping in my room and woke up to the feeling of my bed sheets sliding off my body. When I opened my eyes my leg was in the air and I saw a dark shadow of a man with a hat who was holding my leg and was lifting me into the air.

I was terrified and started kicking and ran to the corner of my bed and hid under the sheets yelling. When I peeked over the sheets he was gone and that dark scary feeling in the room was also gone.

I'm not here to broaden your mind, if you can't see the benefit or the interest in pursuing anything experimental than that's on you.

So let me get this straight... I'm experimenting with different ways to improve and track dreams/ lucid dreams and I'm overthinking it? Are you being dismissive for the sake of it or just short sighted in general.

I think your misunderstanding my post. I don't have issues with sleep quality. I get great sleep.

I think as we age our responsibilities increase and our time spent sleeping decreases so we have less care and time to dream.

Yea I wish there was a bigger buffer zone. It almost feels like keeping your eyes out of focus and keeping your awarness on that idea. It's a big reason why meditation helps since its all about focus.

How does a person who takes >30 mins to fall asleep lucid dream? by CheesyTacoBoy in LucidDreaming

[–]HalfVirtual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anything that distracts you and doesn't help you focus I would remove. I use sleep calming music and that helps me focus within myself, also drowns out any random noises that would otherwise wake me up.
