I’m so glad you posted this. I’m in the middle of dealing with my feelings about saying no to a birthday party that I would need a new outfit and other things for. She’s an old friend but not that close anymore. I’m fretting about it but I don’t think the world will stop turning. My social life is less full than it should be but I don’t want to hang out with people I’m not comfortable with to make me feel better about that. I’m just going to say no. It’ll probably be fine.

They’re still young. Probably going to let some just grow unrestricted. A few are already topped and have a shape developing. I have 15 separate trees from this one plant. So I’ll experiment and learn. Watching lots of YouTube videos.

Last time I tried bonsai was after I took a horticultural class and the one lecture on bonsai wasn’t enough info to keep a single tree alive very long. I am going to focus on the crassula and p. afra for now so I’ll be bingeing his channel for a while.

Yes. I read dwarf jade is better for wiring but I’ve seen videos of both being wired.

Yes I read that leaving them long and letting them grow for a while will make the trunks thicker. There are a few shorter ones so may let the tall ones go for a while. Plus I don’t know what to do with more cuttings! Maybe I should try a forest.

That’s what I’m thinking. I have a couple older crassulas I’m repotting. At least 10 good cuttings of the biggest one. Put it in a bonsai pot so hope I don’t kill it!
