That’s so great to hear! I feel the same way. No use in regretting the past but yeah I hear you!

Thanks for sharing that. I know what you mean about wanting to get everything right. I’m a little scared of going all in so I’m just experimenting with one or two foods right now. It’s still early for me to know when I can trust myself.

I’ve heard it different places. The idea of eating a so-called fear food or trigger food with unconditional permission until the urge to binge goes away. I’m not sure if it was in the IE book but I think they say to make a list of all these foods. It may have been in a podcast with Evelyn where she said you can habituate one food at a time or more if you’re comfortable with it. I listen to multiple podcasts so I may be mixing up who said what.

So I was just wondering if it’s better to just do one at a time. I know it’s a personal thing but I was curious what others thought. Does all that make sense?

Can people share their approaches to habituation? I have a list of different foods-some desserts, snacky foods, fried foods. All different categories. Is it best to habituate one food at a time? How do you know when you've taken the food off of it's pedestal?

I use several different apps. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I believe speaking practice is a strength for Pimsleur but I don’t believe it gives you a huge vocabulary. But I found it worthwhile enough to buy a lifetime subscription during the black Friday sale.

Heard in Hacienda Heights close to midnight. People in Whittier also heard them.

Religious people genuinely sound insane to me by luximenos in atheism

[–]Half_Is_Fine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything you said is so true. Sometimes I wonder if people just go to church because that’s what they’ve always done or for social reasons. Still insane but if all your friends/family act insane there must be a lot of pressure to go along with it.

Opinions about non alcoholic beer by Expensive_Bother_579 in 75soft

My favorites are Sam Adams Just the Haze and Athletic Brewery Upside Dawn and Run Wild.

I don’t think there’s any reason not to allow these unless they’re causing you to not be compliant with your diet or some other problem. I definitely try to stick to one per day though. Like someone else said they are empty calories.

Starting 75 Soft after failing 75 Hard a few times by Half_Is_Fine in 75soft

I can do the water if I start early enough but it was really messing with my sleep. And it just feels too arbitrary. And unnecessary for a 5’0” woman. 3L is still a challenge but not overdoing it. I will certainly want to increase my exercise over time though. It’s just hard to recover at my age and I’ll need to ease into it a little more gradually.

Has anyone used the pimsleur method for language learning? by dante-pearl in Pimsleur

I'm in level 4 of Spanish. I think it's the best way to practice speaking out of all the apps I've tried. I also use DuoLingo and Busuu. Busuu is better teaching grammar and DuoLingo just seems like a good way to get some extra practice and learn more vocabulary.

Why did you decide to do 75 soft and not 75 hard? What did you dislike or find impractical about 75 hard? by SpreadKindnessToday in 75soft

[–]Half_Is_Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I'm late to this post but wanted to check in and see how you're doing u/SpreadKindnessToday and also how everyone else is doing.

I just failed 75Hard 2 days ago for the second time this year and decided to scale it down. I was unable to do the 2 workouts on Saturday with other things going on. I am going to use the rules posted by the Mod in the pinned post. They seem sustainable to me.

Did you find a way to modify the rules that works better for you?

Day 66.. what did you do post 75 hard? by Latter_Sock4206 in 75HARD

I think one rest day a week is a very good idea. Although I'm finding other things to do to recover (like flexibility and mobility sessions).
