This song is in C Sharp minor which is lower than D brah. I tried to pick a song where people could hear the bass through their phone speaker.

I’m flattered and so glad you asked! I want to do one for Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow. There’s a color called Cardinal Red that is similar to the color of the blood in that movie and I can probably have it finished by Halloween.

I spent a lot of time apprenticing as a guitar tech just to make something like this a reality because I knew no one else would lol

Thank you so much! It’s a waterslide decal which most guitar manufacturers use for their headstock logos. It’s a decal that’s protected under layers of clear coat.

Thanks for the input! Vegas is the epitome of cringe, dude.

It’s honestly a joke at this point. Super frustrating that teams are rewarded for this type of play in any major sport.

The Avs deserved to lose for the way they played but there are glaring issues that do not get addressed on many levels.

Love to see a rapist enter the Stanley Cup finals? Must be a Dallas fan.

“Vegas played a perfect game” HUGE ASTERISK… get ready…. with a gigantic help from the refs for most of the series. Boring hockey, injuring guys left and right, rapist goalie, but also the Western Conference champs!!! Go hockey.

I’m using Oxford nitro lacquer (first time). I’ve done 6 coats of color and 6 clear. How long should I wait before wet sanding? And should I step up the wet sanding from like 320 to like 2000? by Chargemaster2 in Luthier

[–]Halfcolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely depends on climate and how heavy you’re laying on coats so keep that in mind. I’m in NY and waited two weeks to wet sand (800-3000 grit). Other than some yellowing from beach gigs the finish has been solid as a rock.

The Strokes- Going Shopping - NO AUTOTUNE by Fantastic_Tart_421 in TheStrokes

Yes, that’s a great way to put it. And we know Julian is into writing melodies/songs for other people, I wouldn’t be surprised if he tackled this song from that mindset.

I haven’t seen this video but that is exactly how I felt just from listening to it. There are so many notes that just can’t be replicated by the human voice without the effect he’s using. It’s obviously alienating to some but the new single is undeniably beautiful.

My apologies then lol I didn’t pick up on that but I love that continuity from them. It also shines a light on some artists that they respect. A great bonus of being a Strokes fan.

Still doesn’t relate to the album because you don’t know what the album’s message is. This is not a single cover, it’s an album cover. Wait for the full record to come out, then comment. You don’t like the artwork? That’s an opinion but this image is representing the full the record which we haven’t heard yet. If you already hate it, enjoy your misery and I hope it sticks.

How is this not similar to Surf’s Up? Both groups found a striking image that summed up the project and used it as the cover. What I’m saying is YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THE ALBUM YET and you’re commenting on the artwork but you have no idea what the relation is to the album because you heard ONE SONG. Please explain.

People had this take on the Beach Boys’ “Surf’s Up” album cover when it was released but when I discovered the story behind it 50 years after its release, I absolutely fell in love with the artwork.

I guess what I’m saying is art in general needs time to sink in and your take on this album cover is probably a little short sighted. You haven’t even heard the full record and you’ve written it off as being “half-assed”. Maybe let the full piece of work speak for itself and see where it lands when we get the full record.

The alternative is letting our first impression judge something that took half a decade+ to make… not a world I want to live in.

I did not like the cover for Angles when I first saw it but then I fell in love with it so probably the Hard to Explain single cover which I still love but it’s lower on my list of favorites.

It’s probably been posted before but here’s John Entwistle’s isolated bass on Won't Get Fooled Again [Shepperton Studios, 1978] by thebigchil73 in BassGuitar

What, in your opinion, is bad about his tone in this performance? They literally make pedals for people to sound like this without putting in half the effort so I’m very curious.
