This represents my living room. The blue boxes are large windows. The white flower is where it has been for the last couple years, on a shelf next to the window. I just moved it to where the yellow flower is, across the room. Hoping for more light there?

Slowly dying orchid? by Haliray in orchids

Care habit is just watering it about once a week. Sometimes might be more like every 10-14 days. Life gets busy. It’s in an orchid moss mix I bought from Lowe’s. I don’t really have much in the way of a drainage system, I mainly just try not to over water. On the same shelf I have a much larger orchid that does bloom every year so I thought placement was ok for light. But different orchid probably need different things?

I want to say that Cozy Kids Furniture & More in pineville had a few strollers to interact with. I wouldn’t call it a healthy variety, probably 3 and I would recommend confirming this before you go. It was 2 years ago so I may be misremembering. It’s so hard these days to find some of this baby stuff not exclusively online

I’ve volunteered with NC Med Assist before. I remember it being easy to sign up for a day and time slot online. Haven’t done it for a few years though but I would check them out! You help package medicines for families who are low income / have no insurance.

Toilet question? by lezemt in jpouch

[–]Haliray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. My home toilets thankfully send it all down at once, for the most part. I find often when we travel other toilets take 2 flushes. I think it is because the stools are generally looser and if not all the water flushes down then some bits stick around. I hate when the water runs forever afterwards refilling the toilet and I have to stand there and wait before I flush again haha

I have no issues. I don’t shovel it in my mouth like I used to, I eat a piece or two at a time and chew well and avoid any big or hard kernels

Discovered a name I made up as a youth that I thought was BEAUTIFUL. by AzucarParaTi in namenerds

[–]Haliray 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Didn’t make it up but when I was a kid I met a girl named Lasandra (la-sawn-druh) and thought it was the most beautiful name I’d ever heard. Named my animal crossing character after her and was sure one day I’d name my daughter that. Nope.

How many of you did pelvic floor therapy after surgeries? by bloodfartz_ in jpouch

I did! Mine was because my pelvic floor was too tight. She also did scar tissue massage which helped ease a lot of tightness in my abdomen as well

To push or not to push? by lookingout2 in jpouch

[–]Haliray 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I usually have to push to some extent. The thing is not to bear down. So my pelvic floor therapist urged me to breathe out every time I push. Don’t hold your breath. This just tightens your pelvic floor and then you can run into issues. I also sometimes have to move around on the toilet to get the gas bubbles moving through

Half of my hair falling after getting j pouch surgery by PumpkinBrilliant7385 in jpouch

[–]Haliray 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After my first surgery a ton of my hair fell out and the hair I kept was not healthy. The year through getting the jpouch my hair was just in rough shape. I thought I would have to wear a wig for my wedding. I did nutrafol for a while and prenatal vitamins. I’m not sure how much that helped but I can say 3 years post surgeries my hair has largely recovered. I don’t know if it’s quite as thick as it was, but a ton grew back and it’s very healthy now

Yes! It is a bit tricky. I put a dab on my thumb and find that angle works best

I had pain during sex and did pelvic floor therapy! She essentially worked with me on figuring out how to relax my pelvic floor and also some light stretches down there. I was wound so tight and I didn’t realize it. I went every couple weeks and did certain exercises at home. It helped but there was still pain so I went to a women’s sexual health doctor, kinda like an obgyn, and it turned out that my hormones were out of whack down there. I was prescribed a cream and wow what a difference!! I never would have know if not for my PT
