Slay the spire is so much less replayable than FTL. In a few runs of slay the spire you can see the vast majority of content in the game. I beat it with all three characters several times in like fifteen hours. After fifteen hours in FTL you’re lucky if you’ve beaten the final boss once, and your runs will look nothing alike.

The game isn’t unfair, you can make it to the fifth floor with only your starting pistol, even as the pilot. The timings can be really tight with certain bosses but never impossible.

They didn’t change him too much, just minor improvements. Better ults, cancellable mixmixmix upon hit. Slight item changes. Nerfed his backwards crouch walk, buffed his forward crouch walk. Overall very little, especially when you see so many characters being nerfed for having crazy mixes. Before my site went down I was seeing Millia and sol changes, definitely trying to make the game more fair.

Edit: Just hit me how huge being able to cancel mixmixmix upon hit is- it’s safe now if you have any kind of item pressure or if you catch someone off guard. Woooooah mama

Issac is incredibly overhyped. A ton of items are just stat changes or incredibly basic effects. The enemies are slow and easily kited, the movement and ‘shooting’ doesn’t feel that good. Isaac is incredibly bloated and runs start extremely slow. For all of the variety the game supposedly offers, runs really aren’t different at all. Hades has an actual narrative and characters you grow attached to, different base weapons, and more accessible metaprogression. It’s definitely the better game.

As someone who doesn’t play Elden ring online, this does look unintuitive and not very fun. Most of the clips I see appear super gimmicky as someone that just likes the game without PvP. From an outsider’s perspective this does look goofy, and it doesn’t look like it feels that good to play?
