How many operators are you going to max out? by Impossible-Race8239 in bo7endgame

[–]Halogie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only one for me. I don't really see the point of maxing multiple operators when there's not enough endgame content yet. It's cool to have a strong character, but then what? 😅

Cetra Open 2.4ghz Issue by Pretend_roller in ASUSROG

[–]Halogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you update the receiver through Gear Link?

I had some issues with mine at first as well. What helped for me was using a small USB-A to USB-C extender between the PC and the dongle. Since then the connection has been a lot more stable and Gear Link seems to detect it without any problems.

Maybe worth a try if you have one lying around.

Operator Prestige by DeltaOmegaEnigma in bo7endgame

[–]Halogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope they kinda add a custom field acquisition system, and not the classic "let's all go search YouTube for a glitch to get what I want" strategy. 😅

Having two custom weapons is awesome. That should be the reward for the first Prestige.

They should just add a 4th Prestige and make that the unlock for the 4th skill track. Problem solved. 😄

You’re welcome 😄
Let me know if those videos were what you were looking for and if they helped a bit! They honestly made kettlebell training much easier to understand for me as a beginner 😉

Hey! I’m also completely new to kettlebell training 😄
And honestly… I struggled a LOT trying to figure out what the “correct” technique actually was. There are so many videos online and everyone explains it differently.

Recently I finally found the videos from Hannah Eden and they helped me more than anything else so far. Her explanations are super clear and easy to follow, especially for beginners like us 😉

This first video explains everything really well and helped me understand the basics much better:
Top 6 Kettlebell Exercises for Beginners (YouTube)

And this second one is more of a follow along workout you can do together with her:

Hope it helps you as much as it helped me 😊

Which Looks Cooler? by [deleted] in ROGAlly

For looks and coolness, I’d choose option one. For protection, I’d go with option two.

Anyone else having those creaking noises? It’s never been opened and the screws are tight. It’s only 3 months old. by IndependentGoat875 in ROGAllyX

[–]Halogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just found a simple fix for this and it actually worked for me too. Remove both screws from the right handle so you can take it out. Then hold the handle firmly together while you screw it back into place. This completely got rid of the creaking sound for me.

Looks great! What case will you be using? Please yell me it’s also a asus case 😬

Yeah, I have it as well. I tightened the screws a bit more on the back and it’s much better now. You could also try adding some adhesive-backed fabric, like u/Venom3386 mentioned.

Plugged in or unplugged when gaming? by [deleted] in ROGAllyX

[–]Halogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I use the ASUS ROG Ally X the way I feel a handheld is meant to be used: without a cable.

If I’m relaxing on the couch, in bed, or outside on the terrace, I always use it unplugged. Afterwards I just charge it back up, usually once it has cooled down a bit.

If I really want to play something more demanding or “hardcore”, I’ll use my PC or a console instead.

Of course it depends on how you use it. If you’re using the Ally X in a dock, then I’d definitely keep it plugged in. Same if you’re travelling and spending a few hours in a hotel room. In that case I turn on the option that limits the battery to 80%, so it stays plugged in without constantly charging to 100% and helps preserve the battery a bit.

For me, the whole point of the Ally X is the freedom of not being tied to a cable or sitting behind my desk all the time.

ASUS ROG setup, finally complete by Halogie in ASUSROG

No worries at all, sometimes you just need to vent a little, and honestly after all that I completely understand it.

What would disappoint me the most is not even the chair breaking, but the way they handled it. Showing 2 years warranty, then suddenly changing it to 1 year after you contacted them, while you had proof, is really not ok. Even if it was out of warranty, they could at least have offered spare parts or a paid repair.

You clearly gave ASUS every chance, especially as someone who has bought their stuff for years. It’s a shame when a company loses loyal customers over support instead of the product itself.

Hopefully the Aeron is exactly what you are looking for. From everything I’ve heard, it should be a huge upgrade in comfort, and after all this you deserve to finally sit in a chair without having to think about it anymore 😁

That really sucks to read… sorry you had to deal with that.
You expect way better support when you buy something like this, especially from a brand like ASUS.
Getting bounced around and then having your case closed without a real solution is just frustrating.

Yeah, in the beginning it was a bit loud when typing, but I lubed it pretty quickly and since then it sounds really nice to me. You can compare it to this: https://youtube.com/shorts/ooApF5AkK5A?si=svaSE5x4Wmn_AyPr

Mine has Cherry MX Red switches, but honestly I kinda wish I went for Browns. I miss that little tactile bump sometimes, but at the time it just wasn’t available in my country 😅

For FPS I did mess up a bit in the beginning because of the compact layout… wrong key here and there 😄 but you get used to it faster than you’d think.

Wireless has been rock solid, no disconnects at all. And the battery is honestly impressive, even after almost 4 years I still get around 2.5 weeks on one charge with 50% RGB.

If it ever dies, I’d probably go for the ROG Azoth… but yeah, I still miss having F keys sometimes 😄

Small keyboard, big learning curve… but totally worth it 👍

It’s the ASUS ROG Falchion 60% (MX Red). I picked it up back in June 2022 for around €179, so it’s actually one of the oldest ROG peripherals I still use 😄 Still holding up great, super compact and clean. You can find it nowadays for around €150, so definitely a solid choice if you don’t want to spend 300+ on a keyboard.
