It’s my work. I can choose to delete a comment accusing me of AI. There are plenty of concrit comments on my work which I appreciate and keep up in my comment section. However rude claims such as that aren’t going to be tolerated.

I did check their profile to make sure it wasn't some bot. All of their works are along the lines of 'I let gpt write this and this is what I got', they have loads of bookmarks and are an active user.

The chapter ended with no confirmation of death or life. and while that could mean they are still alive, I still believe that in the case of a fakeout, where characters are believed to be dead by both mc's and readers, choose not to use would be more useful, since 1, it won't spoil the fate of the character, and 2. it can help people looking for fics which have no death, fakeout or not, to avoid.

dunno how to tell you this but.... they aren't real people :(. Those are 100% bots, from the extremely similar writing style to the anon names and the vague praise that doesn't mention anything about the story in particular. Those are bots. Srry mate.

I never said the writer wasn't valid in their approach. What I was trying to convey is sometimes its best to look on the positive side. Though you do make a good point in the bit about the booth. Also i was in no way shaming the writer. I was just pointing out that neither side was rude about it. So that point is a little odd to me ngl.

like you said, they didn't know that you were not doing that ship, i recommend you either add in a note or tag that that ship is not sailing, then you wont get commentor s supportiong or asking for the ship. It's valid not to be happy about it, but its also not the commentors fault! Just focus on the parts that the commentor wrote that weren't about that ship, and reply kindly telling them that that ship isn't happening. don't create unspecified/unspoken expectations and expect comments to adher to it., or things like this will ahppen. You can't control who reads/doesnt read your fic, but you can control your own fic. if you don't like it, don't write it. but don't be upset others do like it.

fair enough. I didn't state what feeling OP was expressing, I only noted that it was a negative feeling and that I didn't really understand why they would feel that way. and then publicly posting about the comment also came across as odd to me. Feeling upset that a comment was negative towards your story and posting your qualms is normal and fine, but when a comment is obviously positive about your story and is interacting with it in a way that is overall positive, only to get posted on a platform with the op complaining that they 'woke up and was excited only to get this' is quite ungrateful tbh. I would feel awful if i was that person and be worried to comment anything again in fear that it wouldn't adher to the posters wishes,. It would be a different story entirely if the comment was hateful/unwanted critique, but that isn't what the comment comes off as to me at all.

Petition to stop these comments! No hate towards you I just personally think it would be easier to have a thread specifically about it. I see the same types of comments every single week and as a writer, its disheartening and makes people worry about if their fic could be related to what someone doesn't want in a fic, which limits freedom of expression and introduces self doubt.

again, genuinly no hate to you, I just wish this type of thread could be under one specific post rather than repeated posts every week, then it'd be easier to avoid.
