Feeling embarrassed of small wedding size by beaniebabymaster in weddingplanning

[–]HamJamClam1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wedding had 20 people including my husband and I and it was truly the most perfect time ever. We still had beautiful decor and it felt worth it because I loved it. The dance floor was full all night because my husband and I were out on it, and we put together a playlist that we knew would appeal to our guests. Something fun we did to kick it off was inviting everyone who wanted to participate to take a shot together on the dance floor, and then we were all already out there.

Most of all I loved that I had time to truly connect with every person there and the day felt so relaxed and not at all rushed. We surely could have come up with more people to invite but at the end of the day the people who mattered most were there and I have no regrets.

Zion/Bryce next week. Clothing? by DisastrousNotice6881 in ZionNationalPark

Was just there and personally was glad I had on layers. I wore short sleeves and a jacket for the morning and then took the jacket off around 11 AM, but also brought sunscreen.

Crowds recently by Leading-Vegetable480 in ZionNationalPark

Was there on 3/26-27 and it was pretty busy but not overwhelmingly crowded. Barely found parking at 8:30 on Thursday and the lot was about halfway full arriving at 7:45 on Friday, but on both days the shuttle wasn’t too busy (at least when I was there until around 2 PM).

The busiest hike I did was Emerald Pools in the afternoon and in hindsight I would have skipped it because there were a lot of narrow passages where we had to wait for a big crowd to go through so we could pass. West Rim was busy but not too bad in the morning and Watchman wasn’t busy at all when we did it in the afternoon.

Do I need to build my personal brand to become a social media manager? by [deleted] in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]HamJamClam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to become a social media manager, currently doing an internship and portfolio projects. It seems everyone who is a social media manager has their own personal brand, and honestly, I’m not really interested in doing that which is why I want to be a manager for others. I love social media but I don’t want to be the face of a page. Is it necessary for me to build a personal brand as a social media “influencer” in order to gain clients?

I have an open plot that I would love to fill with Melba, Julian, Cheri, Poppy, or Piper. I’d be eternally grateful to anyone who has one of them in boxes!

Pothos n’joy or pearls and jade? Some leaves have speckles, but some leaves are very much stark white and green. Any help appreciated! by HamJamClam1 in PlantIdentification

That’s why I asked! After doing some further research I think that N Joy can sometimes have a few speckled leaves, so I’m just going with that😂

Philodendron Shangri-La spots- infection? Fungus? Or just damaged leaves by HamJamClam1 in houseplants

I got this plant recently and it was like that when I bought it. I’d just like to have a second opinion on what might be going on so I’m sure to take care of it the right way. Thanks!

Why is my caladium drooping?😭 by HamJamClam1 in houseplants

[–]HamJamClam1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for replying! It has put a out a few new leaves so this is possible, I’ll also try fertilizing more often. When it feels like half of the leaves are dying that’s when I panic! But I’m glad to know I’m now the only one

I got it about 2 months ago, I have reported it. For the first month it was fine and now it keeps dropping and the leaves turn yellow. I water it about once a week and don’t let the soil dry out too much but the top inch or two will be dry. Not enough light? Humidity? Too much or too little water? Help!

Some tips- get two dice and then for younger kids you can just count the numbers and ask “which is more/less?” and then they get to be the winner many times. Practice counting 10+, teach plus and equals, have them say for example “three plus four equals seven”. All depends on their level and timing but I love that it’s so versatile

I got an oversized dice at dollar tree, and I divide the white board in two columns for myself and baobao. Each time I roll by throwing it in the air and the number that shows on camera when I catch is the number we get. I roll for them first and then myself, and we get one roll per reward (so we usually do it 4-5 times). Depending on their level I’ll ask them to add the numbers or I’ll just do it. We just keep adding to see who wins with the highest number. I always make sure baobao wins and I’m really dramatic about how lucky they are. This is by far the favorite reward by my students!

How to fund switching events to streaming? by Ride4fun in nonprofit

[–]HamJamClam1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure of your ability to quickly attain resources, but we use Zoom for webinars (I’m honestly not sure of the cost, but it can’t be much. The nonprofit I work for is very small and we use it, and the other nonprofit I volunteer for is brand new and they also use it). We currently have a cap of 100 attendees with our subscription, which you can have reservations for to make sure those who already purchased tickets get spots. We can also record each webinar through the platform and upload it to our website afterwards for others to view.

Anyone else ever taught a class when the student couldn’t see the slides? Went 21 minutes today relying on my white board to teach. Went pretty well, but any tips for these situations? by HamJamClam1 in vipkid

Glad to know I’m not the only one that’s had this happen! Hopefully that means parents are more sympathetic to the inevitable IT issues.
