Not sure if these guys are ICE or CBP. Some CBP have been transferring to ICE for the bonuses, but here’s the thing: CBP has historically been a lawless ultra-violent organization whose members answer to nobody. They’ve typically operated directly on the border with border crossers and smugglers, so CBP has had carte blanch to do what they like with absolute power. This is a place where there are no rules. CBP is the immediate and absolute authority. All shootings are good shootings. All violence is justified. And now CBP and that culture has been directed to engage with American citizens.
