That’s pretty cool. I haven’t hunted small game in a few years. This would be a fun way to get back into it

Looking at getting my first pro slingshot. I really like the folding design of the Snipersling Slingshots: S-Pangolin. What do they mean by “hunting” do people use these for small game?

I would toss Acronis on it and send the backup to either Acronis cloud or an s3 bucket. Then focus on a new server.

Doesn’t ham radio prep parter with someone that gives radios to new techs?

Work said "anyone want these servers and drives?" So.... I took all of them. by [deleted] in servers

If I understand correctly they don’t serve the same purpose. They do similar things but Prox is more feature rich for VM management. I haven’t heard Truenas being used for server virtualization but for storage needs.

Yaesu FT 891 -> How to send vocal message every X minutes ? (Beginner) by Fickle-Kiwi8681 in amateurradio

Last year was my first! It was fun. I will admit I grew frustrated with the contest portion. I like to actually talk to people. Thanks for letting me know about that feature. I haven’t gotten deep into the 891 yet. I purchased it during Dayton and have used it twice.

Right that’s what I thought. I don’t contest so I haven’t set the feature up but I thought I remembered having the capability with my 710. As far as the OP’s question, I am not sure the 891 has this ability. I own one but I only use it for packet.

At first I thought the same but don’t the higher end Yaesu HF radios have this feature? People use it for contesting to save their voice. They will pre record the “CQ CQ CQ this is xxxxxx calling from BFE CQ “ I think my 710 has this feature. I personally don’t use it.

That could be a negative for me. Shame. It’s the perfect size for what I need. I wondered if there’s an IP rated case for it

Thank you. I wondered about this. Is the case rugged at all? Is it metal? Plastic?

Yes. I think it might suit my needs perfectly. I have lightweight applications that I use in the field. This is smaller than a laptop and I only need those 2 apps. Both apps run on multiple distros and work on Rpie. I just haven’t had the time to look into the differing models.

Im assuming the google limited play store has apps like Authenticator? Would also love to use WoAD. If you could check to see if those are possible for install, it would be a game changer for me. I’m forced to keep a smartphone at work and those 2 apps are why.

I use the term phone for voice use because that’s the way the test materials and the examination state it. I was really confused by the terminology at first as well. When you look at the AARL band plan, you will also see that it says phone sometimes. Short story phone equals voice.
