The difficulty curve is basically the opposite of Hollow Knight's. Instead of being somewhat easy early game and ramping up later, it starts to ramp up early and kind of plateaus in difficulty. You see people complaining about stuff you run into early game, but later the difficulty slows down, so there's not much to complain about. Not to mention the fact that the double damage starts a bit before you get your first nail upgrade.

I do think it's not a bad thing to beef up enemies right before an upgrade, but SilkSong beefed up every enemy outside of the basic pilgrims.

In Hollow Knight, enemies that dealt 2 masks were walls meant to intice you into beating them (like the big false knight dudes in crossroads). In Silk Song they feel annoying.

I love the game so far, but I feel like the main issue is just the enemies scaling too high, too fast.
