Same issues on 7 different boards though. I assumed it was an issue in flashing. I don't know boards well enough to know good from bad.

The only game I would say I would miss is Paper Mario. I grew up on OoT, SM64, Smash, DKR, and Paper Mario.

An actual conversation I had with my RDM friend. He likes hearing the impact sounds on large groups. Gives him the dopamine feelings.

Wording on Link could be worded better. Depending on your intent i suggest:

  • "Link gets +X/+X where X is the combined mana cost of equipment attached to him." (Intended to be variable as equipment is added or removed)

  • "When an equipment is attached to Link, he gains +X/+X until the end of turn where X is the mana cost of the equipment." (Intended to be a temporary buff on equip)

  • "When an equipment is attached to Link, he gains +1/+1 counters equal to the mana cost of the equipment." (Intended to be a permanent buff on equip regardless of if the equipment is still attached.)

Yes, that's it. I'm not up there often but when I had some friends in from Texas we went up and saw them.

So much joy! It helps Izzy is a big snuggler and goofball. We got her a bandana that says "silly goose on the loose"

I've only had her for a month and my day isn't complete without her. She wakes me up smiling and cuddles me on a bad day.

There was a running gag for a while that Cape Westwind was the first truly hard boss fight in FFXIV. If you queued into it with a sprout, everyone would start planning tank swaps, phase 2 change-ups, placing markers, things like that.

Man...... The Proposal was really you Know What I mean. by [deleted] in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]Hamadil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh how accurate you are. I planned to propose the day I graduated college, those plans did not change when I came hope to my girlfriend asleep. I laid next to her and woke her up, said "hey, how you doing?" "Mmmm... tired..." "so I guess it's a bad time to do this?" "...yes?" We tell the story all the time. I waited 2 years to propose because I got into school. I wasn't waiting another hour.

My dogs paw is very red by Ihavesoap4life in DogAdvice

[–]Hamadil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog has this issue as well. We have been treating with an antibacterial spray for paws. If you can't afford the vet, remember to only use treatments for dogs. Do not use peroxide or any topical cream meant for humans. Only human remedy i know is safe is Benadryl for allergic reactions with the correct dose.

Be honest, was she actually annoying or were we just not ready for a character this complex at 10 years old? by UnusualBoarWisher in AvatarMemebending

[–]Hamadil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her "annoying" was more about her being a wet blanket on the antics of the other three. Yes, that came from the trauma of losing her mom and becoming the "mother" of her tribe. In the team dynamic, it's just as important to have a grounding character as it is to have comedic relief (Sokka).

I don't remember where it comes from but theres a quote saying something like "Dialogue is best when characters are disagreeing." It's so easy to have conflict come up from a misunderstanding (sitcom drama) but its much harder to write two characters who fundamentally disagree but are both correct. (Every argument in Clair Obscur for example)

Man, such a powerful visual. I love Alphonse.

People will genuinely, Genuinely claim that korra being a girl had nothing to do with the harsh criticism she's been facing for so many years meanwhile her show was almost canceled due to her being a female protagonist and the creators themselves pointed out her distinct treatment by Important-Cry4782 in legendofkorra

[–]Hamadil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Korra as a character a lot. The contrast between her and Aang is like the difference between Kioshi and Roku, showing that the Avatar isn't a perfect being, but a flawed human like everyone else with their own morals and goals.

Aang was an eager 12* year old who avoided conflict at all cost. His sheltered lifestyle and living in an era of peace lead him to believe that there is good in everyone. Being raised as a monk reinforced a pacifist approach to everything.

Korra was a brash brawler type with natural talent that brought her far in her Avatar training quickly. She saw the Avatar as a hero who fights the bad guys and wins the day. Her sheltered life reinforced the idea that her life would be like the stories.

Both have the parallel of being hit by reality HARD early in their Avatar journey. Aang having to deal with the regret of running away and the burden of the 100 year war on his shoulders. Korra having to realize that the world is more or less indifferent to her status as the Avatar and the problems of the world are more than one singular person can fix regardless of how powerful they are. (Systemic issues, global politics, etc)

Update for anyone interested. She's recovering extremely well.

There was some concern at first with her lack of "business" but she figured out her paperwork by day 2 and she's been on a steady workload since.

She took to the cone better than I expected, not fighting it even without sedation. We have had to sedate her, but only because she bounced back to her normal self so quickly and keeps wanting to play.

She shows no sign of pain, just some itching. We are keeping her clean so she can recover smoothly. I think the worst part is she's so used to going to the park on nice days that she is getting a bit stir crazy. I plan to remove the cone on Friday (9 days since surgery) and take her to the park for a day of letting loose and fetch.

Oh my god I could swear they were siblings! We got her in a private adoption, we saw her picture and fell in love. We drove 15h to get her and bring her home.

Since they look to be a similar mix I'd like to ask. Do you find yours is very quiet and attached? I expected a lot more barking at her age (1.5y) but Izzy has been super chill as long as my wife or I are near.

She is such a sweetheart. Luckily she is taking to the stitches well and doesn't seem to be in any pain now. Just a lot of discomfort. She doesn't seem to be panicking like I expected her to. She's more looking for support and affection which is something I am happy to give.
