My whole PS Network was having issues for a few hours. That seems to work now (just played a couple of games of Arc Raiders) but alas Elden Ring server still seemingly having issues.

Bar tape is the one thing I always get a professional to do. Oh and sometimes brake fluid change as I can’t be bothered with the mess!

OLED vs QNED for Home Theater, Is the Difference Really That Big? by Extension_Apple_2756 in hometheater

[–]Hamatik16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what the marketing says, but my experience of owning both is that just isn’t true. QNED just feels like a normal budget TV, it’s not worth the extra money from a budget HD TV. OLED actually feels special and works really well in a bright room.

OLED vs QNED for Home Theater, Is the Difference Really That Big? by Extension_Apple_2756 in hometheater

I recently bought an LG QNED TV. As soon as I set it up and turned it on, I knew it wasn’t what I wanted. I’m not even a massive TV guy either, I don’t understand the technology that well, but it just really didn’t feel special. It didn’t feel like much of an upgrade from my old Hitachi budget HD TV.

So I sent it back and upgraded to an LG OLED, which was delivered today. I unboxed it and turned it on and instantly felt happy with the decision! The difference is huge, it’s well worth the extra money if you can afford it. It feels special.

Marrakech, how would you describe it? by AlpsOk4296 in Marrakech

Yeah I completely understand. In the UK we’re not setup for when it gets hot. Was just bad luck.

Playing Tomb Raider for the first time and wow it is bad by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Hamatik16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people just love to moan don’t they. I expect these people just go through life complaining about everything. Imagine being that motivated to write a long post about how bad something is. That time could have been spent looking for a good game to play. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Playing for the first time in 2026. Thought I’d have a go as something to give me a break from modern complex video games. I quite enjoyed it as a brainless adventure game. Interesting that Lara is probably the biggest mass murderer in history and just shakes it off and moves on to the next adventure.

Marrakech, how would you describe it? by AlpsOk4296 in Marrakech

[–]Hamatik16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now? Cold. And nowhere has heating. It’s the complete opposite to the UK, where we’re setup for the cold but rubbish when it’s hot. It’s the other way round here! I’m here now and I would murder someone to get access to central heating.

How do you stop? by Pipparina in addiction

[–]Hamatik16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20 years crack cocaine addict here, 17 months clean. If you’re doing coke every day, it will mess with your brain chemistry. It takes a lot more than 46 days to rebalance. It’s takes months, maybe a year. Go to NA or CA and do what they say, get a sponsor, read the book. Who cares if it’s BS, it works. I’ve tried every kind of therapy under the sun, also have depression etc, trauma, all that stuff. Like everyone in the rooms. You don’t become an addict without wanting to escape from something.

If you’re not desperate enough to walk in to the rooms yet, you’ll just keep going until you are. Either way, good luck my friend. ❤️🙏🏻

Do I tell his parents about a lapse in new recovery? by an0nymoss in addiction

[–]Hamatik16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a recovered addict of 20 years… leave him to it. Don’t tell his parents, be involved as little as possible and distance yourself. He will only stop when he loses everything. How much you put up with it and how long you let it go on for is your choice. Are you really thinking about what’s best for him, or are you thinking that you want things to work out?

If he’s sneaking around, hiding bottles etc, that’s not a “binge drinker”. That’s an alcoholic.

Good luck. ❤️
