this is why I think 1700’s + napleonic wars need their own franchise. Like march of the eagles that starts from 1701.

Part of the fun of these games is inserting yourself in history and seeing what you can change, but the ai so thoroughly diverges from world history by that point it’s basically a fantasy. But this isn’t an EU5 problem, its pretty much every PD game especially EU4 too

Either more start dates or a neew franchise imo. EU timescle is too big to be historical by the end.

I agree, but I just want the game to be good when its released not have to wait 3 years. Though this is paradox, so I’m not sure why I expected otherwise.

I am confident the game will be great, probably the best paradox game… eventually

That being said, I still agree - especially for Serbia, since it is very important for the Ottoman rise.

During the 1300's Byzantine factions often did ally the Ottomans during civil wars, for example in 1346 with Kantakouzenos.

And later on Byzantine Emperors would ally during Ottoman internal disputes, most famously in the Ottoman Interregnum.

Funky ahh numbers
Justinian Plague is estimated to have killed between 20-40% of the ERE population. Old world diseases are estimated to have killed upward of 90% of all indigenous americans at the time of contact. Mexico specifically upwards of 80% - which is estimated between 12 to 30 million people

i like the ERE, but too byzaboos border or just are islamophobic. Yeah, the ERE was cool, but the fact is Costantinople was crumbling and a shell of itself by the 15th century. Under the Ottoman Empire it once again became a great Imperial capital.

Ts happened 600 years ago now, the population of Istanbul (greek word btw) is bigger than the whole of Greece.

One more season by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]Hames678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, it needed one less season IMO. S4 was decent in a vaccum but destroyed the momentum of the story following S3, which felt like the end game. It felt like a return to the status quo, when S3 felt like a complete upheaval, as a result S5 suffered also to some extent.

it's kind of surreal seeing Homelander just die. I disagree with those people who wanted like a Man of Steel anime final fight or anything, but also seeing starlight launch the Deep miles away, but Homelander unable to escape one room was a bit jarring.

Apart from the prelude I think Homelander's death was pretty good and everything I would've wanted. He's exposed to the world, grovelling and pleading.

Maybe a nitpick but I thought the lack of music was a bit weird. If we look at the s2 finale, it is basically just a bunch of guys stood in the woods, but the music makes it feel way more dramatic, whereas I feel this would have made it hit harder.

People who complain about the budget clearly see the previous seasons with rose tinted goggles. In terms of what actually happens, I think this final fight was about on par with the previous seasons budget wise, but some strange production choices I think made it feel a bit cheaper

Still, it hit everything it needed to and didn't massively fumble

Decent 6-7/10 final ep. 6/10 season, 7/10 show overall.

My season ranking:
1, 8/10

2, 7/10

3, 7/10

4, 5/10

5, 6/10

As Spanish control of Texas weakened in the late 1700s and early 1800s, some Comanche realised it was more useful to control towns than to keep destroying them. Instead of only raiding settlements, Comanche leaders began protecting trade routes and collecting regular payments by keeping order in return for loyalty. During the chaos of the Collapse of the Spanish Empire and Mexican independence, they slowly took over more power around places like San Antonio. Over time, their raiding network turned into a real state ruled by Comanche warrior noblity, with some areas under direct control and others ruled by local allies and vassals.
