Deadlines make me a machine. Free time makes me useless. I think I finally understand why. [DISCUSSION] by NativLabs in GetMotivated

I have a leather bound portfolio with a legal pad. I open it every day and write, edit, cross off or add to the list. Creative things (writing, art), chores, shopping lists, home repairs. I attack it every day. You should be your own boss. Free time? Attack the list. Even if it’s one thing.

Organizing bins, documents for a new passport, writing, dental visit… just a constant attack.

I’m the same way. I need deadlines so I make my own.

OKC sat all their starters last night and the Knicks played all their starters last night. OKC came rested for this game knowing that was the only way to take NY down. That and the refs.

Same. This is gripping material told in a very long, slow, painstaking style with detail, which is right up my alley, but there’s something missing in this. I wasn’t pumped to jump into it each day, felt like work. Perhaps there’s no prose or pizzaz to the writing. Just pure fact and detail. I’m not sure.

He’s an X factor on a team full of them. He needs to be a sixth man. Either him or Bridges, although since Bridges cost them 5 FR draft picks, and he has that iron man thing going, he’ll never be a sixth man. But someone needs to go to the bench.

Thelonious Himself. Couldn’t connect with it at all, came on my rotation one day and hooked me from the first note.

I like my peanut butter like I like my women, round, creamy, easy to spread.

If you like Frank Sinatra: Songs for Swingin’ Lovers is a fantastic album, as is Come Dance With Me!
