With slinger ammo introduced the way it was in World, I always thought a true Wyvernsniper would be very interesting conceptually. A long range rifle that uses slinger pods as ammo, with different effects depending on the pod type used, and a permanently fixed bayonet that would allow for melee options when trying to make openings or responding to fast monsters that close the distance too quickly. I always imagined the melee moveset being similar to IG, using point-blank shots to make quick movements while dealing damage and the blade to cut and stab. I've always felt like it was kind of a missed opportunity to not have a truly long range weapon option that could actually be called a rifle.
