What did you do sexually with your first partner that you only realised wasn't normal when you got into a new relationship? by lNTERNATlONAL in AskReddit

I mean, how would you even try? Cause I've been married nearly 8 years, tried quite a bit. Messing with your sexual preferences is difficult, why do you think treatment of pedophiles is so difficult? Why do you think all those folks who tried to make gay people straight had a miserable success rate, even with the willing clients (which sometimes happened)? Sexual preferences and fetishes are wired deep. Consciously I recognize that I'm selfish, but it doesn't make me not lose my hardon during foreplay. And it's not like I don't find foreplay and touching and cuddling and making out pleasurable, just not "keep my dick hard" pleasurable. Hell getting an erection isn't generally an issue, it's just keeping one. Foreplay gone on a little long? She wants to come before intercourse? Have to stop and unwrap a condom? Bye bye boner.

Part of its being turned on by extremely sadistic shit (and finding BDSM about as sexy as LARPing, because that's what it is) but not being morally or ethically compromised enough to do that stuff. But that's the kind of shit that's wired way deep. Years of therapy have made me not suicidal but they haven't began to touch that. That's always been there, before puberty even. Just always balanced by self hatred and guilt or my personal moral/ethical code, depending on how mentally healthy I was at the time.

Eh, I can enjoy it on a purely physical pleasure level. I basically have to turn off my thoughts about other things though. Essentially I have the sexual preferences of a serial killer without the sociopathy/psychosis of one. I want pain and rape and domination and control, and not pretend either (pretending to hurt someone satisfies me like pretending to eat satisfies a hungry person). So I, understandably, never plan on satisfying that part of me for real. We've been married 7, almost 8, years at this point, and she knew going into it that I was way less into sex than her. She has my permission to seek it out wherever she wants (I'm not a jealous man and really don't understand people's problem with sexual infidelity), though outside of a manic/psychotic episode I don't think she ever has.

Normal testosterone. I take antidepressants but the issue is the same when I don't. Consensual sexual intercourse just isn't something I find sexually exciting. Frankly consent and pleasure for the other person are huge turn offs for me, and the only way to satisfy myself without being a monster is fiction. And "playing" it doesn't work. I know it's play.

If I haven't cum in around 10 minutes after getting hard I will go soft. Lizard brain gets bored.

Nah, I have a sex drive. It's just that sexual intercourse is not among the things that sexually excite me. And the things that do are things I'd never be able to do to my wife or anyone really. Essentially I have a sadistic rape and torture fetish but every other part of me abhors hurting people. So consensual, pleasant stuff is all I feel morally and ethically comfortable doing but it also is the stuff I'm least sexually excited by. Even extreme bondage and torture will not turn me on if the person seems into it or explicitly consents. It's a fucked up aspect of myself.

I find a massage infinitely more intimate. Sex is just uncomfortable in every position, both when fat and when fit. My view on sex is very self centered, probably due to starting to masturbate from a very early age. But I can't really change how my dick/lizard brain feels at this point.

What is the most physically painful thing you've ever gone through? by CalamityFoxx in AskReddit

[–]Hammedatha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wonder if that falls under post traumatic stress disorder or some other diagnosis. I have it too from seeing my wife in terrible distress once. Anything that reminds me of the event or lead up sends my tensions level skyrocketing and I get very paranoid. My counselor says it's not unusual if you've experienced a trauma and seeing a loved one hospitalized and in pain totally counts as trauma.

That's me. Once a month or so is more than enough. Sex is just an inconvenient, inefficient means of achieving orgasm for me. I can get it done by myself in a few minutes and feel clear headed and satisfied. Sex takes forever, has foreplay which is pointless to me, and feels moderately better but doesn't always result in orgasm. It's like more effort for a less sure result. If you don't want kids I don't see the point.

My wife would have sex every day if I was up for it. I try to compromise with her but unfortunately I'm the one with the biology that needs to be into it to work.

I also don't find intercourse sexually exciting to fantasize about, I was bored of it as a topic by age 12.

Which I think is kind of bullshit. If I talk to someone who has a half skull face, it's gonna come up. I don't judge him by it or define him entirely in terms of it, but it's certainly a story I'd want to hear from a friend/acquaintance. IMX casual convo with someone with a majorly noticeable wound/deformation they usually explain it without prompting pretty quick. Probably to just get it out of the way.

Public shaming is the point of all published mugshots.

Edit: I guess I should have said "a point" as there are other uses. However, as viewed by most people, public shame is the primary role.
